Walked out of this store 3 times so far. Have been disappointed more than that, and encountered customer service about the same amount. 2023 - Waiting for 20 minutes for an employee to help me with stock that was up on the shelves. Needed 1 sketchbook, of which two were in stock. Their paint brush supply is pitiful and their selection of prismacolors pencil singles is poor to nothing. Also, they need to hire people to work the floor to help customers, because if customers cannot find what they need, they cannot get what they need to check out. This is no longer an art store but now like a home goods or home craft store. If you need art supplies, go on their website or for better prices, go on amazon. Updated 08-2023 - Once again gave this store another chance. Went in to get liquitex soft body paints. They had maybe 12 or so of the 99 colors, didn't have red. The gouache had more variety. Tried getting detail brushes. Most of the brushes were once again either missing, damaged, or misplaced. Grabbed what little brushes I found from Princeton. It's Halloween so went to see the Halloween stuff. The decor they had the week prior was now switched around and new stuff added. Baking supplies where the pumpkins and decor were, Lemax figures were taken away, being replaced with Christmas figures already. This place is seriously just a Mommy Hobby craft store with a small range of professional crafts, the reverse of when I was growing up coming here: professional art supplies and small sections of hobby, decor and kids crafts. Why the heck do I keep coming here? It's not getting better...
3/14/25 - Yes, I know. Why do I bother? I went in get some bead organizers, the 32-Compartment No Spill Bead Storage Organizer by Bead Landing. I've picked them up here before and so I wanted to ask to see when they will be restocking or if they're being phased out. I pressed the button on the machine they have for assistance, and waited. I looked along the aisle passing the time. I pressed it again maybe 6 minutes later, and waited. I keep hearing someone say the name of the aisle, waiting patiently. Finally an employee appeared and instead of coming over, she looked like I was bothering her "Can I help you?, she asked me in an annoyed tone. No smile, no "how are you?". I asked her about it and she talking all over the place. All I got was maybe Monday but... She then began to walk away in a rush when I went to ask another question about the fact it was online but $14.99 instead of $9.99, or else I would order it for delivery on there. She said because it was part of the 40% online discount. That...doesn't make sense, so the price is raised, for it to be discounted making it $8.99 not including tax nor the $7.99 shipping (and why the frack does every price end in $.99? Round it up already). Then she left in a hurry before I could ask further, leaving me confused. No closing pleasantries, no "goodbye", no "Have a nice day". I said "thank you" to her back but got nothing in response. I was going to buy some more items of what was left after half the jewelry aisle was marked for clearance, but just left with the three items I had because if I needed more assistance, I doubt I'd get any. I already felt like I was being a burden. This place gets worse every time I visit. Until next time I guess because where else am I going to go in terms of a local physical store for arts as...
Read moreThis is the second time my wife has used this location. Now both times have been unpleasant. She placed an order for curbside pickup about 2 weeks ago, called like they said when she arrived, they confirmed and would bring it out. Well after waiting 18 minutes, she gets an alert that her ordered was picked up and thank you. Well she went in the store and asked whats going on with the order and she was waiting, only to be told that oh we were supposed to be bring it out. UH YES YOU WERE!. The order was sitting on the shelf where there were at least 5 employees that could have delivered the order curbside, instead of sitting it on the shelf.
Today she placed an order because she can't leave work for same day delivery, which is on the website, and just received an email the order was cancelled. WELL not one phone call, not one email to suggest pickup if they couldn't deliver it, not ANYTHING. Just a cancellation with no explanation. I can spend my money elsewhere. If this location has a problem with catering to the customers or serving the public, maybe try closing it or getting new staff that...
Read moreFraming department continues to be the worst. I went in wanting to get some memorabilia framed. Lissette helped me at first everything looked promising. 300 dollars a bit much but it would be worth it I thought...first frame was to weak...second frame someone else pick picked it saying it would simula to the first one I picked...they ordered that and same thing it wouldn't work..then I went in they overnighted another frame..that came damaged as well..by this time already 3 people hand there hands in this project...i spoke to the gm he ordered a more expensive frame. Now almost 2 months..the new frame comes finally in and that's a bust as well...the frame was bigger and the board that was cut was to a smaller frame....they should knows this..with the gm of the store in front of me asks me what would I like to do...i say return...he doens' t even flich nor offer a discount...nothing..not even a apology...had lissette been working on the project alone and not 4 other people i believe this would not have happend...to many hands in the pot...sad sad...
