What a mediocre experience for the price I paid. I had an appt for an Indulge Pedi $50 and Full colored Dip set $65.
The pedi was so basic. No bath salts in the water, the foot and sugar scrub was weak- I even asked her to scrub harder and her response was "this isn't the massage,"- the lotion was not rich enough so during the massage there was friction which pretty much feels like an indian burn; lotion had no smell, and the massage itself was so half hearted, didn't my heels or toes, which is where all tension is held and needs the most attention since they are major pressure points when walking!
The hot towel was only on for like 30 secs, barely hot. Tech did not take her time trimming the dead skin around the the cuticle. . No massage of neck or back (which is standard at Cure Nails in Society Hill!)
Oh and the pedi doesn't even take place in a spa chair, so no warming seating for massaging feature. Also the "table" you place your feet on is NOT padded and has a really sharp edge so my feet were aching just putting weight on it.
I've never had dip nails before, but for the price I am surprised to find out that there is NO massage or cuticle clean.
I can't believe I spent $115 plus tip for such low budget service.
I do miss living on the West coast where there is so much competition in btwn nail salons that they really up their game and treat a customer like a queen (or king!) cause they understand loyalty is key!
PS- the space is loud and a couple of staff where not acting professional IMO. Not a relaxing environment at all. Walked out...
Read moreI was very excited to get my nails done here. I was immediately disappointed as soon as I got them done. I felt rushed , my nail tech did not introduce herself or discussed with me what I wanted. She instead was having a discussion with another nail tech about her recent break up. I didn’t like the color I chosen at first and ask her for a recommendation and she replied with “you can go look for yourself”. I really went there because they are known for their art designs . I booked an extra 30 mins to do the nail art . I wasn’t asked what type of nail art I wanted or what I had in mind. I had to say I wanted nail art , she looked at me annoyed and the ‘design’ I got was nothing like what I saw on instagram. The rhinestones came off in a mins time that I just asked her to take it all off. I wouldn’t recommend this place to any friends of mine . You can try it , maybe you will have...
Read moreI have never written a review and I contemplated it all weekend but I’m still annoyed so here we are. I had a terrible dip nail experience. I called and she told me it would be $55 for a dip manicure. I went and as she was taking off my current dip she left halfway through to eat pizza….. after ten minutes she came back and finished taking the dip off with a nail file and an electric nail file and she was so rough and it was very very painful. When she finished doing the dip there was polish and dip all over my fingers and she said “it’ll come off in the shower” it looked SO bad (picture is after my shower, it was 10x worse before). When she rung me up she said it was $60 because she put gel on top of the dip without asking. AND it chipped the next day. The other people the worked there looked very decent from what I saw but my experience with this girl...
