I've tried a few different salons in the Rittenhouse area, and This Corner is now my go-to spot. I had popped in once or twice for a last-minute greeting card and noticed the salon area towards the back, so once when I needed a bang trim on short notice and my usual spots at the time were booked up, I remembered This Corner and gave them a call. I was given an opening that day with Kat, who did a great job on my bangs. They grew out nicely while I've also been growing out my hair, and when it was time for a refresh of my limp waves and reinstatement of my bangs, I booked a deva cut appointment with Christina. She transformed a bushy, devoid-of-style mess into a stylish, voluminous mane of curls, while preserving length to support my goal of growing out my hair. Christina was knowledgeable, efficient, and just an all-around great stylist who understood was I was looking for and offered helpful guidance on style & maintenance. This is a gem of a hair salon and small house goods shop in the Rittenhouse area. It is a very convenient location for Center City West, Graduate Hospital, Avenue of the Arts and even Midtown Village neighborhoods. This Corner has a cool, laidback vibe that I find very welcoming before and after my salon appointments, or even when I just pop in to check out their shop. I am a relatively new client at the salon, as is my husband, since moving to Center City in September of 2021. Kat is my stylist, and I find it great to work with her as I transition to my natural hair color after many years of getting color treatments. I like that Kat is very receptive to this plan and I really appreciate her knowledgeable insight on how to best make this transition! I am very glad I found such a seasoned professional to help me embrace this new phase in my life.
