When I spend over $800 a night for a cabin I expect everything to be clean and in working order. Easy Lovin’ Lodge reminded me of a motel 6, except for the light being left on. Let’s start off with the construction screw in my $300 tire that I just finished plugging. Then there is the party mugs left outside from previous guests that are still there as we’re preparing to leave, the loose banister on the front entrance, entrance lighting so bad that you can not see the steps, the old cable splitter box left on the front window sill, and loose planks on the outside decks. Once inside the duct-tape holding the dead batteries in the remotes is a classy touch. The loose toilet seat that almost turns completely sideways was an awesome ride as well. Air hockey table that the air doesn’t blow was almost as entertaining for the kids as the foosball table that didn’t have any balls. The ac filters through out were an asthma attack waiting to happen. I did find the spares and changed them. I wish I could have found spares for the refrigerator door shelves. Every time you open the door be prepared to catch something, since the guard is broken/missing on every singe one. I really loved the trip to Walmart at 11pm the night before my wedding to purchase an iron, since the house iron has something burnt to it. I almost forgot (but I’m sure my guests won’t) the two rooms at the very top that were hotter than the 7th level of Hell. One room with 1980 weight equipment, no curtains with direct line of sight into the neighbors cabin and 83 degrees. And the second with 2 sheets partially covering the windows that was a much cooler 79 degrees. Last for this review but not the end of the issues is the shortage of towels. Who doesn’t love sharing a towel with a loved one? Yes, there are more beds than towels. Each bathroom with a shower has 2 sets of towels and wash cloths, but there are 3 bedrooms with a total of 6 beds that sleep multiple people all sharing one bathroom equipped with a shower... so someone shares, or wait on laundry before they...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I recently stayed at the Honeymoon Hideaway cabin in Gatlinburg this past week. We traveled about 7 hours so we got to the office late. Instructions to get to the cabin and key code were left for us at the office and all we had to do the next morning was sign our paperwork so it was a smooth process. The lady at the office was very friendly and helpful.
The cabin itself was clean upon arrival and had all of the amenities we needed (paper towels, soap, dishwasher detergent, washcloths and towels for the shower, dishes, cups, pans, etc.). The only thing we did not have was firewood which we knew going into it (would recommend buying good quality firewood before your trip, the firewood at Walmart burned through fast). Very secluded location but close to Pigeon Forge and the downtown Gatlinburg area, we mostly went hiking and it was a convenient location for us. The driveway is a little steep but nothing too crazy we were able to get up it fine, people need to realize this is a cabin in the mountains, not flat lands. This cabin did not have mountain views but we really didn't care about that. The bed was king size and comfortable, with clean bedding, we had everything we needed. Our favorite parts about the cabin was getting to drink coffee in the morning in the hot tub, and using the fireplace at night. Didn't run into any issues.
The checkout process was easy. We cleaned the cabin to its original state and called the office letting them know our trash was bagged and outside the cabin. We did not receive any extra charges like some of the people in other reviews were talking about. This isn't a hotel, it's a family run business, you have to clean after yourselves. Overall, we had a great stay here and for the price you can't beat it. If we come back to this area we will definitely be renting through this...
Read moreSo, where do I begin..I unfortunately got scammed on Craigslist renting what I thought was a cabin that existed in Sevierville only to drive up and realize that nothing existed at all. I was scared, angry, and left without a place to stay for three nights...this was also during the high season in the Smokies. While I was figuring out my next move, I luckily met a gentleman who put me in touch with this company. By the grace of God, they had a tiny cabin that was perfect for me for exactly the same price that I thought I would be paying for the non- existent cabin. I immediately booked it and drove to their site to grab keys, paperwork, etc. I cannot tell you after going through an experience like that, how wonderful it was to have an established company to work with which had someone who could meet me and talk over instructions on how to get it the property, etc.
Once at the cabin, it was at the perfect location and felt safe for me as I was by myself. It actually had two rooms, one of which had a pool table; jacuzzi, and beautiful deck to watch the sunset. It was tucked away at the back of a road and fairly secluded. I have to think that this was somehow a gift from God because there were absolutely no other cabins available and I'm so, so appreciative of this company for having something for me and making the process as seamless as possible given the terrible experience I had coming into the Smokies. I will forever...
