Budd + Finn — Local services in Portland

Stumbled across Budd and Finn on a meander around China Town. Quite accessible but seemingly overlooked or hidden in the squalls of Portlands homeless center aka Chinatown. Just on Broadway, easy park and worth a visit, chock full of an eclectic mix of contemporary collectables and gifts. A strong mix of retro and modern vibes fill your senses upon entering, enough to dizzy your eyes with a stacked selection. A section of the store is outdoor themed with books, trinkets, coasters, mugs and nick nacks, another section with carefully crafted greetings and birthday cards. A section of wool and quality knits - it's here too. A great place to get a unique tchotchke gift and card for friend. Edited 02/10/25 - we did go back and had a completely different experience. The staff members working that day were extremely helpful and kind. Loved the store, so many cool things!

02/09/25 Honestly disappointed in the staff here. The shop looks cool, but unwelcoming staff members. My sister and I popped in just to look at the onesies and posters they have before our dinner reservations in 10 minutes and were asked to leave almost immediately because they were preparing to close the shop. Mind you it was 4:50 and their closing sign on the door and on safari says 6pm. I’m all about not hanging around when I know a store is closing but to be asked to leave while 5+ people are still in the store shopping felt really rude.. first trip to Portland for the both of us.. first stop since being here and was not expecting the lack of customer service in such a “welcoming”...

I stumbled upon Budd+Finn while on an impromptu vacation a few weeks ago. Customer service was amazing and the store is full of unique and interesting items. We had our purchases (plates and candles) shipped back home to prevent having to carry them on our flight. Unfortunately the postal service did not heed the fragile stickers on the boxes and all of the plates arrived broken. Budd+Finn not only shipped us new plates the next day but they did not charge us for the replacements. I am more than impressed with this eclectic little store and urge anyone in the area to stop by!
