Great Popcorn! Been eating this stuff since I was a kid. My 2 star rating is not about the product but the service I recently received. As a longterm customer who has spoken with this merchant before about other issues with an order, I was shocked at the lack of professionalism displayed.
THIS IS NOT A REVIEW OF THIER PRODUCT, IT IS A GREAT PRODUCT! THIS IS A REVIEW OF A PARTICULAR INSTANCE THAT I FEEL WAS HANDLED POORLY.
Ive ordered bulk popcorn from this place for a couple years now for family and work events. I recently ordered a bulk order online for a gathering. The package was either misplaced or stolen from my mailroom. I contacted the seller and filed a dispute with PayPal as a precaution.
I emailed the seller the same day and filed my dispute the following day. I received my first response from the merchant 15 minutes after filing my dispute with PayPal. The merchant that responded seemed more concerned that I filed a dispute, than the fact I didn't receive the item (see attached image).
To be clear I filed a missing item dispute through PayPal as a precaution, however, the merchant assumed I wanted a chargeback and responded defensively.
I sent a follow up email immediately to explain why I had filed the dispute and that I was open to working with him to locate the package.This is also what i was advised to do in my PayPal dispute. I did not receive a response from the merchant until I emailed them the next morning (attached)
The merchant sent me an email screenshot of my refund (attached) and did not acknowledge my clarifying email.
Its upsetting to feel like you upset a merchant simply for filing a dispute to protect yourself as a customer, even after clarifying my intentions.
I was surprised because Ive had another concern about a different order, and the same merchant handled it with kindness and respect (attached).
Our recent interaction, in my opinion was unprofessional, which is why I'm posting today.

Maybe clean your machines? To make matters worse the owner himself was a total jerk to us! There was a bunch of men standing around smoking weed in the parking lot. Made me almost scared to even pull up and get out of my car. BUT The owner seemed to know all of them well. It almost felt like maybe this is a front for some other activities this guy might be involved with which if thatās the case Iām sure Iām not the first or the last to take notice. Appearently his business values are not in the direction of earning repeat business from customers because not only will I not be back but I want to save anyone else the hassle of having to deal with this man and his business entirely! Call me crazy, but when Iām paying $10 for a small box of popcorn, Iād like it to be fresh, not day old⦠and not from a crap attitude or dirty unhygienic employee.
This is not the first negative interaction, including poor hygiene (not washing hands, wiping nose, coughing etc.) that Iāve encountered with this person over the years, I guess itās time to pass on Joe Brownās - at least at...
