Really weird experience at this store. I buy pants, bring them home and realize they aren’t the best fit so I bring them back the next day to return them. I left all the tags on and when I get to the front the manager says it’s in store credit or exchanges only. Apparently this policy is outlined on the receipt which would have been fine if I had been provided with any form of one (printed, emailed or even spammed), or been verbally notified of this policy either when the purchase was made.
It was such a weird power trip that this seeming to be store manager was on. She said she remembered me from ringing me up literally the day before and was immediately able to find the purchase in the system but when I brought up not being notified about the return policy she got all cringey and said the “policy will stand” and acted like I was trying to pull something with her and I was holding up her line…..?
It’s your job to notify your customers about your policies and you certainly shouldn’t treat people like it’s their fault when you mess up. Even if it really is the end of the world to process an actual return (which it’s not, seriously come on), you could have admitted to the possibility that you never sent a receipt or even verbally outlined your policy. Acting like your bad is my fault and I should have known better is ridiculous and just a gross way to do business. Apparently this place makes enough money that they don’t need to worry themselves about brand loyalty. Best part was when she handed me back the pants and a coupon like I would be now wearing the pants or be back...
Read moreI’ve been going to Sloan for a year now and every time I go in I find a new favorite item of clothing! Not only are all their pieces beautiful and reasonably priced, but their customer service is also incredible! For example, I purchased a gorgeous dress from Sloan about a month ago for my college graduation and sadly only had the chance to wear it once before I noticed a bleach stain! I was devastated! I called Sloan and talked to an associate in hopes that I could possibly get an exchange (knowing that the chances were slim) or even simply a discount on my next purchase. The associate connected me to the manager who within ten minutes offered to exchange the bleach stained dress free of charge, called all their locations to see which ones had the dress in stock, and found the exact same dress in my size and set it aside for me. I brought the bleach stained dress into the store and was immediately given my exchange, no big deal. I truly did not expect this level of customer service, especially since it was unclear where exactly the bleach stain had come from. I love this dress and I’m so grateful that I can finally enjoy it thanks to the wonderful staff at Sloan. As if their beautiful garments weren’t enough to make me a loyal customer, their customer service has ensured I’ll be gushing about Sloan to all my...
Read moreLove this store! The sales associates are attentive an helpful. YES they will make suggestions, YES they will bring things that you didn't ask for, YES they will involve themselves, which makes the shopping experience much more enjoyable. My sister and I went in on a busy December afternoon looking for a dress for New Years. I was tired and really not in a shopping mood. I chose two and went to the changing stalls, and the associate got me started and then brought two more dresses. When I declined some of what she brought and told her why, she was very quick to bring options that I liked. Both of the dresses and the shoes that I chose were suggestions that they made and might not otherwise have found on my own. I left happy and excited about shopping. Their apparel is unique, well cut, and priced well, with a lot of options in what seems like a...
