Do you like horror, but scanning through standard bookstores' singular horror shelf dominated by Stephen King is uninspiring at best? Go here. Even if you don't care about HPL (cannot relate, but to each their own), the staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and will give expert recommendations about the store's diverse and excellently chosen stock of weird, fringe, experimental horror, along with related history, science, science fiction, and fantasy. I walked away with one of the most disturbing books I have ever read and I am very, very happy. Friendly, thoughtful, queer-friendly and extremely knowledgeable staff running a non-profit bookstore. What more...
