My recent experience with Men's Wearhouse for my wedding party rentals left much to be desired, and I feel compelled to share my honest review. While the company may be a popular choice for formalwear rentals, the overall experience fell short of my expectations.
One of the most glaring issues was the disparity between the high prices charged for rentals and the basic level of service provided. When you're investing a significant amount in wedding attire, you rightfully expect a seamless and personalized experience. Unfortunately, Men's Wearhouse missed the mark on this front.
The most disappointing aspect of my experience was that two members of my wedding party received ill-fitted attire. It's inexcusable for a company specializing in formalwear rentals to fail at providing the right sizes, especially for an occasion as significant as a wedding. The inconvenience and stress this caused were wholly unnecessary.
Another frustration came from the misinformation provided by the Men's Wearhouse staff. The salesperson who assisted me not only failed to deliver a personalized experience but also provided inaccurate information regarding the return window for both myself and my groomsmen. I was told I had four days after the event to return my rental, while my groomsmen were told they had only two days. This inconsistency led to confusion and unnecessary stress in the aftermath of the wedding.
In hindsight, I regret choosing Men's Wearhouse for my wedding attire. Given the premium prices charged for their services, I expected a more seamless and personalized experience. If I were to do it over again, I would definitely opt for a smaller, more boutique-style store that could provide a higher level of attention to detail and a more personalized touch. After all, weddings are about creating unforgettable memories, and Men's Wearhouse's basic service simply didn't contribute positively to that goal.

My 2nd was with a young lady and she was great too! But today's experience with a staff named JP, was extremely disrespectful! I let him know we were there to get a member of our party sized and things ordered; I let him know the name of the wedding, but he didn't hear or listen and asked for the party #. Then asked if tux rental or purchase, I informed him it would be both, but its not a tux. He rushed our best man through the store, quick put the measuring tape around him and got his size to try on and wanted to know what shoes we were doing (it clearly stated we were renting shoes from them) had him try the pants on, put the shoes on him and measured him for his alteration appointment, which he had him schedule right then. Then he had to purchase the pants, the fee and the cost of alterations up front! The previous two times being there for the same wedding party we DID NOT have to schedule right then or pay for alterations nor pay the full amount right away, only $20 down both times same information. But not this time! This staff member judged our best man on his appearance and treated him so poorly. When ringing the item up the staff asked if he'd shopped here before and when told no he asked would you even shop here again instead of signing him up with his measurements like they did the other two times I came in with people. Men's Wearhouse, you should be ashamed of how you treat people that don't fit into your idea of how people should look. What you do not and did not even bother to attempt to get to know about the customer is he is a United States Army Veteran who would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it! Who spends every day doing what he can to help our homeless Veterans in our area and this is how you treated him, because he came in with a long beard and a biker vest! Read moreMy first expierence renting suits. went here to rent suits for my 2 sons and myself for my wedding. They had 2 different people measure us. Ordered the suits. I specifically tokd them the wedding was on the 20th and we needed the suits a day before. He stated no problem they will be here 2 days before the event so we can try them on and make changes if needed. Ok cool. Well come the 18th i get a email stating the suits are there. So i pack my sons up and go there and turns out my suit is there but my sons suits are not. They stated they will be there tomorrow the 19th by 10:30. Keep in mind im supposed to be on the road at 8am on the 19th and not still in town waiting for suits to arrive!
The suits arrive at 10:30 the next day. Everything fit my sons with the exception of thier shoes. My jacket was too large and at this point we have no time to fix the issue... customer service in store was horrible. We did not get the attention needed during measuring and also when trying the suits on. We had no choice but to use what we had and they practically ignored us while trying them on. Spoke to a manager she basically told me there is nothing she could do and that we ordered the suits on short notice and they were only supposed to arrive a day before the event! This is NOT what we were told when we were measuredin the first place. We were told 2 days before the event!
I called the corporate office during the drive to our wedding and they refunded half the cost of the suit rentals.
Went to the same store to return the suits and they also waived the $20 per suit late fees as well. The pregnant manager was helpfull and waived the fees. The other "manager" could not be bothered to assist the cashier because she "had to get to her 2nd job"
Idk if its just this store that is horrible or if its all stores but i will not be returning or recommending them to others.
