My wedding was scheduled to take place in June. The ceremony itself was being held in Washington, but I had flown into California to visit with my family before making the trip up north. Leading up to the wedding, my mother had found my great-grandfather's wedding band which she offered to pass onto me, to wear as a family heirloom. I loved the idea but, because I live in Illinois, I asked her to hold onto it so we wouldn't risk losing it in the mail. To ensure it was the right size, I scheduled an appointment to be professionally sized by a local jeweler and then sent my ring size to my parents so they could have the wedding band made to fit my finger. Everything seemed to work out perfectly until I arrived in California and tried the ring on in-person. It was much too small, and wouldn't work for the wedding. With plans to leave for Washington the next day, I rushed online to try and find a Redding jeweler who might be willing to resize my ring on short notice. I wasn't optimistic about my chances but, nonetheless, I found Janine's and hustled over first thing the following morning. After explaining my situation, the three ladies working behind the counter reassured me that everything would be taken care of and asked me to come back in an hour. Upon returning, they had resized the ring perfectly to fit my finger and had me out the door in time to start our long drive up to Washington. I chose to take my beloved silver bracelet to Janine's Jewelry based on the reviews I read. I was not disappointed. As so many other reviews said, the women who greeted me were super friendly and inspired me with confidence right away. This is the third time I have had the clasp on my bracelet replaced in the 20 years I have owned it but I think this will probably be the last. The work was impeccable and I expect it to last. I have took a ring that had been my mom’s. I have admired it since I was a young teen. The shop is clean, friendly and professional. I ask for it to be sized. They found loose prongs. All this at a reasonable price. I had another ring to be sized. I was educated in all the options. When I got my mother’s ring back, it was beautiful.
