I witnessed a white woman pay $200 for a sofa at this thrift store. She then turned around and wanted a small miscellaneous item. The woman at the counter said "just give it to her for free, she just spent $200 on a couch." Five minutes later a Hispanic woman who was scrounging for change attempted to purchase a camisol. She clearly didn't speak English fluently and was also clearly more hard pressed for cash than the white woman. She was 25 cents short of the ticketed price for the camisol. The woman at the counter was rude and completely demeaning when explaining to this woman that she could not have the shirt because she was shy of change. I felt that this was absolutely ourrageous behavior so I spoke my mind and put the things I was going to purchase back and exited the store. It's unbelievable to me that this kind of injustice is tolerated. This organization has an opportunity to provide services for those in need and is clearly abusing their sense of power. It's unfortunate because as a consumer if I chose to spend money here I am supporting a corrupt establishment. If I don't spend money here then my money can't go to our local shelter to help feed people in need. It really sucks either way! It...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreYes they can have some decent items-that benefit the homeless- but THAT lady older shorter glasses apparently the boss. Sometimes Not very nice. She kinda shoots from the hip-randomly-pricing that is. Nothing like Boot Straps or Second Glance. she would rather sit on it than sell it. If you have lets say The Thrift Store Crawl Coupon It ONLY applies in "Certain Areas" of the store-shoots from the hip? No where on that ticket does it say that-Yes it does say not valid on special events... I once asked a price on a certain item there was a set she priced Each one differently and the one I liked she made just a few dollars more so my coupon would Not apply. When I said thats a random number she just stared at me. I decided that day in my mind "What kind of person Is she"-She would rather SIT ON IT THAN SELL IT! The name of the game in Thrift Store IS TO SELL- to benefit the people it is set up for. AND it is Still there damaged as it was -no one...

I'd say on average most of the women's tops were ~$15 so you are better off going to Marshalls to buy something new. The furniture pricing is hit or miss depending on your style. It seems that everything I was drawn too was a bit overpriced. A lot of the items here are on the rattier/worn side, which is fine if the prices were more reasonable.
Also it's definitely awkward when their employees sit on a stool near the register and just stare at all the customers. Dear Life Bridge, not everyone is a thief and it makes people uncomfortable! I can find better prices and a less judgemental atmosphere elsewhere so I won't be...
