Pierpont Place — Local services in Salt Lake City

My husband and I had our wedding at Pierpont Place last summer. And it was absolutely fantastic! First, let me describe the venue. Pierpont is a perfect combination of vintage and modern. The venue is pretty much a blank canvas and it can be decorated any way you choose. I liked the open floor layout and I also appreciated the sufficient bathroom space (you would be surprised how many venues have inadequate bathrooms for large gatherings). The biggest draw of Pierpont Place; however, is it's awesome location. It is in the heart of downtown Salt Lake, and EVERYTHING is within walking distance. There is a huge variety of hotels for guests, in all price ranges, and extremely close. There are plenty of dining options, bars, spas and things to do. Honestly, my husband and I flew into town for a few days to check out venues, and this was the first and only place we looked at. It was just perfect for us.

We loved our event coordinator, Ashley Francis. She was absolutely fantastic. It is very difficult to plan a large wedding from out of town, but she helped to make it easier on me. We did a lot of email communication, and she was always happy to answer any question or soothe any worries I had. We only had a few chances to meet face to face. I had an elaborate and specific "vision" for how I wanted my wedding theme to be. I was worried that I would be unable to communicate that vision to someone in just a few short hours. With some small help from Pintrest, Ashley understood exactly what I had in mind. She even contributed some great ideas that I hadn't thought of. I didn't understand how well she understood my vision until the day of the wedding. Everything was absolutely perfect. The staff set up all the decorations (I am a do it yourself kind of person, so trusting this task to someone else was hard for me), and they set them up better than I had expected. Ashley had even managed to help satisfy my picky husband's beer taste. As well as find some obscure items that really contributed to the wedding. All of her recommendations, down to the DJ and the baker were spot on.

I was most impressed by the staff's reaction when we ran out of food. Instead of letting us fend for ourselves, some phone calls were made and more food of really high quality was delivered. I was never even aware that there was a problem. It was taken care of that smoothly.

Overall, I was very pleased with my experience at Pierpont. I have had other friends tell me their own wedding horror stories, of hidden fees after the wedding and poor service. I had none of these issues at Pierpont, they went above and beyond my expectations. A wedding is a very stressful day for the bride, and I think that since I trusted the staff so much, that my day was not as stressful as I had thought it would be. My husband and I were having such a hard time trying to find a venue... Such a hard time that we came to the point where we thought of just going to Vegas to get married. We went on Google and searched for venues in Utah. We had seen Pierpont Place. At first I thought it would be too small of a place. But we decided to check it out anyway. We met with Ashley Francis (wedding coordinator). My husband and I just fell in love with the venue, the location being that it is in the heart of Salt Lake City and HER!! We knew that was the place. She was so friendly and very focused on what we wanted to see and happen for our reception.

We wanted to have Filipino and Mexican food. A lot of the venues we had seen did not allow outside food. But Ashley made that happen for us. She was helpful, and you can tell she wanted to help us have the reception we had envisioned. We told her how we had wanted our reception to look and feel, and she put that all together. Everything turned out PERFECT!! Our guests were in AWE for how amazing our reception looked. The lighting, the decor, flowers, etc. were BEAUTIFULLY put together. Our DJ, DJ Erockalypze was AMAZING and played awesome music. He didn't have any of our guests give requests until we told him it was okay. Ashley and her crew really worked with us to bring a simple idea and brought it into reality!!! Even while pregnant she was very dedicated to the task at hand and excelled beyond expectations!!! We wish we could go back in time to have it happen all over again!! That is how AMAZING OUR RECEPTION WAS!!

We recently had a corporate event at Pierpont Place and Taylor and the team there took our expectations and blew them out of the water! It was a pirate themed party and the level of detail and time that they put into creating an incredible experience for our clients was unbelievable. There were so many touches that went above and beyond, and the team that executed the event were top notch. The DJ that was recommended was brilliant! He was fun and accessible energy that everyone loved. We also had a photo booth and the vendor they used was great. The bartenders were slammed and yet were having fun with the guests and serving with a smile - they even dressed in pirate costumes! The space is awesome too, because it is so versatile and the way it was transformed for our event was beyond impressive. Everywhere you looked it was pirate/nautical themed, but a few highlights were: pirate ship sails with our company logo that were weathered/tattered to perfection, a treasure map that encompassed the entire back wall, and an incredible pirate ship (that they built). Knowing the attention to detail, and just how far they are willing to go to create the perfect atmosphere, if we did another event at Pierpont, I could tell Taylor what we were going for and then just I could just show up and be amazed. To have that level of comfort and peace of mind when planning an event for 400-500 people is nearly impossible to comprehend.
