7-Eleven — Local services in San Diego

I purchased cigarettes, mavericks Longs with my charge card at $12.06 on June 1st 2025...555 West C Street. I was stunned because most 7-11's are in the price range of $9.20 exactly..even at two other 7-11's just a short trolley stop from this location. I told the clerk, wow, or you kidding, she told me the owner this, and the owner that, that we can't give you your cash back, there's no refunds! I told her I just don't want to pay such highway robbery, and I assumed their charge for my brand of cigarettes was in line with most 7-11's nearby and throughout the city, and that she could put my refund back on my card. I wish she had mentioned the cost when I asked for them while ringing me up, I was stunned! Of course she didn't do that, what a cunning ploy, silence until it hits you smack dead in the face! I've purchased the same cigarettes from this very same store years ago, perhaps 5 yrs ago at even a lesser price that other 7-11's, but not by much though, but boy is the owner price gouging now! I'll never visit that highway robbery 7-11 again, and I'm sure going to spread the word! I have no respect for such a gouging owner, and I definitely didn't like the female lady clerk, with an accent! This lady who was so smug and short with her interaction with me. I politely walked out calling her and "the owner" you're price gougers and crooks to do such a thing... That's all!...

Google reports this location as 24 hours, saying it was confirmed by store 5 days ago. However, this is not the case and it closes before midnight.

While I cannot attest to the quality of the store inside, nor the ability of the staff, this lack of updated information or deceitful/inaccurate data is the responsibility of management.

I was quite surprised that there are many reviews complaining about the inaccurate/inadequate hours and most of the responses simply ask the reviewer to take more time and effort to post on another site, showing there is no follow up and actions taken when these Google Reviews clearly indicate an issue they can be acted upon.

It will be further disappointing if this review gets the same sort of blanket response, asking me to post on another forum, which I will not do. To management: I took the time to leave you a review here - please finally act on this and update this location’s store hours and treat your customers with...

The only reason I went to this store is because it was the closest Amazon hub near me. I am a big fan of 7-11 and love the app! Like a lot of people, I rely on the prices advertised and expect to pay that price. Large fountain drink supposed to be $.79 til the 24th, app clearly shows it, cashier tells gentleman next to me “not anymore” . He says app shows it, “not anymore” so not only were we not getting the deal, we were getting attitude as well. Not a nice look for 7-11, especially when you have a nice, clean, well stocked store.
