DON'T BE FOOLED!! I'm so grateful I was recommended to David Levi & Sons! Big name stores like Kay's, David's Bridal, Robin's Bros will cost you twice as much for the same jewelry. (because they buy from David, and mark up to retail price). There is nothing wrong with that, but I would much rather get twice the ring, straight from the source.

The customer service was the best! I felt like family from the minute I walked into the store. I was greeted by David, and set up with Teresa. She was patient (since I knew nothing about engagement rings!) and helped me design the perfect ring for my now Fiance'. I can see the passion and pride that she put into making my ring and so can everyone else!

I catch my Fiance' just staring at it on her hand in admiration. There is few prouder feelings. I love hearing the stories of all her friends and colleagues, (and the thousands of people of social media lol) telling her "Damn! He did really good!!

I feel secure that I can bring to shop for maintenance, and thatvtheyvwill honor the value if I ever decide to upgrade more. (No other store would do this!!) I feel secure knowing that these designers will be there and have been there for years (not high turnover and low accountability like most retail stores).

The whole process was soooo easy!. I went in to look and get an idea of budget and design. I went back a week later to pay and customize my order. Then I went back a week later to pick it up.

I highly recommend purchasing your jewelry, diamonds, engagement ring, and otherwise from David Levi & Sons. You will be seriously missing out if you don't. I left feeling like the smartest man on the planet, and it was confirmed when my bride to be burst into tears during my proposal. (Check out the video! It was at Legoland CA... the most romantic place on earth lol)

My wonderful experience with David all started out with a simple ring appraisal. I had a custom ring designed by another local San Diego jeweler but felt that the quality wasn’t up to my standards, plus I felt like I overpaid for their work. David noticed right away that the quality wasn’t that great and appraised it at a lot less than what I had paid for it. Needless to say, my fiancé and I were a little upset. However, David said to give him a chance to design the engagement ring we really wanted. David also stated that his team could design a much better piece of jewelry at better price, mind you the last jeweler used the exact same words, so I had my reservations.

A week later my fiancé and I visited David’s store to give him a chance and let me tell you, we are so happy we did. David allowed us to sit with Kevin (head designer) to design every aspect of our dream engagement ring. Kevin was very patient and spent several hours with us. After designing our ring in CAD, a wax model was made for my fiancé to try on before finalizing the ring. Once we were all in agreement, David said it would take about a week to complete. When David texted me that the ring was ready, I had butterflies in my stomach. I was super excited to see the final piece, but I was also scared that it wouldn’t live up to the hype. We arrived at his store and when David opened the box, my fiancé and I were at a loss for words. It was beyond our expectations!!!! I can’t express how happy I was when I saw it, his work spoke for itself. David truly out did himself!

David was awesome and professional during the entire process. We communicated mainly by text and he always responded promptly no matter what time we texted him. My fiancé went with a friend (prior to us being engaged) to pick out a ring for his best friends future bride. The experience was so wonderful, my fiancé refused to buy anywhere else when the time came for us. Shortly later, I got to see why first hand. David has helped us make decisions (which can be difficult for me) without being a salesman or trying to pitch something totally different. He provided my dream ring, said I can have it cleaned for free anytime at the shop (which is done in about 5-15 min), and sized the ring for free and had it ready in 20 minutes. His customer service is so far above anyone I have ever met.

We later went back for wedding bands and he surprised me yet again with his generosity. My fiancé and I were having a hard time deciding between two rings so he offered to order them both in his size so we could come back and get a better idea when the rings fit on which one he wanted. Fast forward two more weeks, it’s a pretty emotional day for me with my fiancé having left out on the ship earlier that day(he is navy). I went into the shop and told him which one my fiancé decided and he offered for me to take them both home to let him try them on and bring back whichever he does not want. I explained he would be gone for a while so that wouldn’t work and that today was a pretty emotional day, so he says... “you know what, keep them both and tell him I say thank you for his service”. I was in such shock I don’t even think I thanked him enough. He made a pretty difficult day a million times better.

Moral of the story: I will recommend David to everyone I meet and will only purchase diamonds/jewelry from his store. He has forever customers in my fiancé and me. Not to mention the quality of the diamonds for the price are far superior to any other jeweler...
