Located in the former spot of Fudruckers and next to King’s Fish House is PKG. This plaza is crazy busy with all the shopping but don’t be scared as you turn the corner near PKG. Plenty of spots. At first, I thought it was one of those semi-fast food concept where you stand in line to order then pick up your food but I was wrong. It’s a legit restaurant concept where you wait to be seated. Very clean and spacious with ample outdoor and indoor dining. We got the family kabob combo ($26.99) that came with basmati rice, 1 skewer of chicken kabob, 1 skewer of salmon kabob, and Mediterranean Greek salad with a side of balsamic vinaigrette dressing. I would say this meal comfortably feeds a party of two. Coming from a sit down restaurant like this, their chicken and salmon kabobs are so juicy and moist. I’m not a fan of white meat due to the dry factor but I have to say PKG did an exceptional job maintaining the flavors without drying it out. The salmon was my favorite for the same reason. Packed with flavors and not dry. Although the meat and veggies didn’t need additional flavoring, I did wish they had some type of sauces for those that want to dip. PKG is different than other Mediterranean eateries and really stand by their brand when they say “Healthier Mediterranean Food” from a “Scratch Kitchen” when their food is made from scratch daily with fresh ingredients and you can taste it. Their chicken are raised without antibiotics, their beef no growth hormones, grass fed lamb, fresh Atlantic salmon, and even offers vegan/vegetarian options! Be sure to sign up for their rewards program for special offers!

December 2024: This place has really gone downhill since the last time. All the food seemed like it was leftover. Maybe the salad was fresh, but nothing else tasted fresh. The shrimp was especially hard to eat. Only time will tell if we get sick from it. Did a take out order. The pita bread and regular bread also taste like day old bread. It's never been like this before. The vegetables seemed to taste ok, but that and the salad were the only normal tasting things. When I walked into the restaurant, it smelled like sewer. My daughter did like her pasta except that it was too oily. March 2023: Still pleased that the prices remain the same, and the quantity and quality of the food is the same. My go to is still the Flat Iron Steak shish kabobs. We were seated outside and this time had our nearly 10 month old granddaughter with us. Our waiter was very accommodating, including suggestions for the granddaughter. We will be back here again and again. April 2022: My wife and I dined here the other day. First of all the food was great, tasted good and the portions were perfect. We ate outside and the tables were spaced at least 6 feet apart. The heaters were on and we felt comfortable. I ordered the flat iron steak skewers and my wife got a shrimp pasta meal. My salad was great, my single skewer was plentiful. I ordered my steak medium and it came out as I ordered it. Best of all, our total with tax was $38!. Update 3/11/2022: Brought the family, 7 of us and the bill was not bad at all. Food was great.

There are many different Panini kabob grills all over that we visit and the Mission valley is the one that we probably frequent the least, but it is still just as fantastic as the ones we typically go to. The food is unbelievably good but I have to be honest, I almost never break away from the ABF Chicken kabob plate w/ strawberry & date salad topped with pomegranate vinaigrette and basmati rice. I have had appetizers such as the falafel, the hummus trio appetizer plate and whatever they call the appetizer sampler which are also delicious and I think one time I did try the beef kebabs.... but out of the probably 25+ times I've been there I typically order the same exact thing because it's so good. Everything that I mentioned above is highly recommended. The staff & service that they provide are excellent at this location. Very nice and prompt. Parking can be a bit brutal at this location but if you live in the mission valley area, nothing new. If you're not from the mission valley area, just know that if you drive around for a bit you should be able to find a spot. The only reason I knocked the atmosphere down to four out of 5 stars is because there was a large group with kids that were out of control right next to us the last time we ate there and they had their trash all over the ground, the kids were running around and screaming. Totally not the restaurants fault and the restaurant is typically very clean and full of well-mannered people but that group was a bit unruly.

This was just not there day for service. Girl's shopping day with my daughter. We had just found some great shoes at DSW and we were looking forward to a fairly quick, tasty and healthy. We walked up to the host stand and were greeted fairly quickly and chose to sit inside because it was an unusually February day. There were plenty of tables to choose from and decided to sit at table for two by the window. The manager asked for our drink order which was water no ice and water with ice. We waited and waited. After 15 minutes our server asked for our drink order. 10 more minutes went by and I waved down the manager and asked for water. At this point, we should have left, but my daughter and I were very hungry and the menu had some delicious Mediterranean options. Finally our server brought us water and took our order. During this time other tables that were seated after us were being served their food. I got the attention of the manager and shared our experience to this point and she apologized and offered us dessert and would check on our order. Our server took our Caprese Panini and Chicken Panini sandwich. 10 minutes later she brought us the best tasting hummus I have had in a very long time with a side of pita which my daughter devoured it. Then we waited and waited. I was ready to leave and went to talk again with the manager. While talking with her she was very nice but provided excuses that it was Valentine's weekend, our server was in training and panini sandwiches take a long time to prepare. While talking with her our food was delivered to the table. The Panini's were very tasty. From sitting down to food being served was about 90 minutes. Our fairly quick lunch turned into a 2 hour affair. The manager checked in with us and offered us either Tiramasu or baklava on the house which we ordered one of each. Then our server brought us the check and asked if we wanted dessert which I told her that the manager was taking care of the dessert. Thank goodness I had cash to pay the bill because after 5 minutes the dessert was never delivered and my daughter and I left. Will I come back? Not anytime soon. Bummer because the food was...

I am a frequent customer and this not the first it happened to me, I did give them a pass the previous occasions! This time I was with my coworkers and took him there for lunch and to have some business discussions, we sat down outside started talking our conversation and hopping someone will come around to take the order, as usual it a while and my friend asked me do we have to go inside to order did they came to the table? Since it was his first experience, I told him normally they come to your table and get the order and he said okay let’s wait then Maybe someone may come! After a little while a young girl wearing black pants and shirt came to vist the other table directly cross from us but fail recognize our table headed back the inside at that point my friend called her out loud Mom, are you the waitresses? She turned around and said I am the manager, aha, can you please send someone? She said okay! You would except if she is a manager you don’t discriminate tables based on who seats on the right? But wrong! She did! We noticed she visited the same table 3 times while we’re waiting for our food and after we got the food! She never came back to us to check! Even the waitress didn’t bother to check on us! I personally went pay my bill since we couldn’t see anyone to bother to bring the bill! It it bad service all over! When I was inside to pay my bill I noticed 4 manger employees seated in the middle of the restaurant table and having discussions! I wish they teach them how handle customer service instead have a meeting in the middle of lunch hours! I noticed they’re Prejudices who to give a good service! I feel like they’re discriminating based on one’s look, how he dressed! I believe The management Needs addressed such issues! It happened to me and I am talking based on my own experience...

Very disappointing experience, they get two stars instead of one because the lamb kabob was good, and because maybe they just got hit really hard by covid considering the great reviews, but so are some of the customers that are paying for this food too. (And it's pretty pricey, 60 bucks for two kebab meals and appetizer, we weren't expecting quite that much).

Greek food is usually fairly consistently food for me but this place really seemed like they just microwaved the pita, it was almost cold even though we ate it a few minutes later since we were staying basically right across the street and were driving. It also had those kinda hard spots that you get when you microwave bread- it just wasn't good, a few pieces were actually very hard. The hummus trio was not good except for the basic hummus type, but those 'alternate' hummus are always hit or miss. We just ate our hummus and pita from the grocery store instead, it was much better than this expensive Greek restaurant, which is the most disappointing thing I've experienced at any Greek place of any price range.

We got rice but I think they have a different kind of rice than the rice pilaf we are accustomed to. It was red and looked almost like Mexican rice. Honestly it tastes a lot like when people make Mexican rice out of grainier brown rice, not so good, it was okay mixed with the lamb but I would get something else next time, maybe it's healthy?

But I really don't think I'll ever come here again despite really loving Greek food and this place being walking distance. At least we saved room for a good dinner at one of the many fantastic restaurants really close by, big disappointing 60 dollars spent here, hopefully we just got...
