This was just not there day for service. Girl's shopping day with my daughter. We had just found some great shoes at DSW and we were looking forward to a fairly quick, tasty and healthy. We walked up to the host stand and were greeted fairly quickly and chose to sit inside because it was an unusually February day. There were plenty of tables to choose from and decided to sit at table for two by the window. The manager asked for our drink order which was water no ice and water with ice. We waited and waited. After 15 minutes our server asked for our drink order. 10 more minutes went by and I waved down the manager and asked for water. At this point, we should have left, but my daughter and I were very hungry and the menu had some delicious Mediterranean options. Finally our server brought us water and took our order. During this time other tables that were seated after us were being served their food. I got the attention of the manager and shared our experience to this point and she apologized and offered us dessert and would check on our order. Our server took our Caprese Panini and Chicken Panini sandwich. 10 minutes later she brought us the best tasting hummus I have had in a very long time with a side of pita which my daughter devoured it. Then we waited and waited. I was ready to leave and went to talk again with the manager. While talking with her she was very nice but provided excuses that it was Valentine's weekend, our server was in training and panini sandwiches take a long time to prepare. While talking with her our food was delivered to the table. The Panini's were very tasty. From sitting down to food being served was about 90 minutes. Our fairly quick lunch turned into a 2 hour affair. The manager checked in with us and offered us either Tiramasu or baklava on the house which we ordered one of each. Then our server brought us the check and asked if we wanted dessert which I told her that the manager was taking care of the dessert. Thank goodness I had cash to pay the bill because after 5 minutes the dessert was never delivered and my daughter and I left. Will I come back? Not anytime soon. Bummer because the food was...
Read moreI am a frequent customer and this not the first it happened to me, I did give them a pass the previous occasions! This time I was with my coworkers and took him there for lunch and to have some business discussions, we sat down outside started talking our conversation and hopping someone will come around to take the order, as usual it a while and my friend asked me do we have to go inside to order did they came to the table? Since it was his first experience, I told him normally they come to your table and get the order and he said okay let’s wait then Maybe someone may come! After a little while a young girl wearing black pants and shirt came to vist the other table directly cross from us but fail recognize our table headed back the inside at that point my friend called her out loud Mom, are you the waitresses? She turned around and said I am the manager, aha, can you please send someone? She said okay! You would except if she is a manager you don’t discriminate tables based on who seats on the right? But wrong! She did! We noticed she visited the same table 3 times while we’re waiting for our food and after we got the food! She never came back to us to check! Even the waitress didn’t bother to check on us! I personally went pay my bill since we couldn’t see anyone to bother to bring the bill! It it bad service all over! When I was inside to pay my bill I noticed 4 manger employees seated in the middle of the restaurant table and having discussions! I wish they teach them how handle customer service instead have a meeting in the middle of lunch hours! I noticed they’re Prejudices who to give a good service! I feel like they’re discriminating based on one’s look, how he dressed! I believe The management Needs addressed such issues! It happened to me and I am talking based on my own experience...
Read moreVery disappointing experience, they get two stars instead of one because the lamb kabob was good, and because maybe they just got hit really hard by covid considering the great reviews, but so are some of the customers that are paying for this food too. (And it's pretty pricey, 60 bucks for two kebab meals and appetizer, we weren't expecting quite that much).
Greek food is usually fairly consistently food for me but this place really seemed like they just microwaved the pita, it was almost cold even though we ate it a few minutes later since we were staying basically right across the street and were driving. It also had those kinda hard spots that you get when you microwave bread- it just wasn't good, a few pieces were actually very hard. The hummus trio was not good except for the basic hummus type, but those 'alternate' hummus are always hit or miss. We just ate our hummus and pita from the grocery store instead, it was much better than this expensive Greek restaurant, which is the most disappointing thing I've experienced at any Greek place of any price range.
We got rice but I think they have a different kind of rice than the rice pilaf we are accustomed to. It was red and looked almost like Mexican rice. Honestly it tastes a lot like when people make Mexican rice out of grainier brown rice, not so good, it was okay mixed with the lamb but I would get something else next time, maybe it's healthy?
But I really don't think I'll ever come here again despite really loving Greek food and this place being walking distance. At least we saved room for a good dinner at one of the many fantastic restaurants really close by, big disappointing 60 dollars spent here, hopefully we just got...
