This store seems to think it's better than the other Crossroads locations and it's really not clear why. You can forget trying to sell any of the things that appear on the company's "what we are looking for" page and just hope that the person checking you out likes the items you have personally. If they don't, you won't get anything no matter what high end brands you offer from the company's "what we are looking for" page and then you can expect the "buyer" to disrespectfully send you off with a fake thank you and with the bags you've arranged neatly for them stuffed full of your items with ZERO regard for the items or the fact that the "buyer" pulled them out of the bag a certain way. Like seriously? I did not bring my items in separate, organized bags for you to shove them into the bag crumpled up and folded, with the shoes stepping on top of one another. The staff is rude and unhelpful and has made me feel unwelcome every time I've stepped into the store, whether trying to trade or spending hundreds of dollars. Honestly just take your clothing and shoes down the street to Goodwill, they will treat you better and you'll probably get a higher tax break for donating than you would cash/trade value at Crossroads Fillmore.
Update 4/15/24: Same issues with the buying process....especially when one piece out of set is denied until I had to point it out and the buyer realized they should probably buy the set....yeah....now I feel like they don't even look at the items with any care for the fact that you hauled your booty down there.
ANYWAY, other than that - I've made some good retail homies in this spot and they've redeemed the experience. I actually love this location and recommend shopping there often. But the buyers need to get it together.....pls.
P.S. apologies for the vitriol of the original review. I lost my cool. I should've kept it. But the substance...
Read more10000% not worth it. Signed in on a Tuesday at 3, and went to browse other shops. Got a text at 4:15, dropped everything, and got back to the store at 4:17, only to be told âjust a minute.â The store associate went into the back and started doing something else. Another associate finished helping someone else, said âsorryâ and walked away and started talking with the first. Finally a third associate looked surprised that I was still there - they had actually forgotten about me - and started to help. This was 15 minutes after I rushed back, and 1h30 after I checked in originally. But even then, fine - I decided to wait it out more, and I walked outside (because, COVID). And the second I did, she stopped working and started talking with her friend. At 4:50, she was still chatting and I called it (I needed to get home to cook dinner for my kid). And then she had the nerve to tell me âshe was almost doneâ and things were only slow because theyâre understaffed. Understaffed I get, understaffed I have patience for, especially in these times. But this was something else completely.
All in, two hours down the drain. My advice is to just donate your clothes (depending on your tax situation, it could actually be a better deal, financially. It certainly will be in terms of time spent.). Or sell on The Real Real (they make it so easy, compared to this nonsense).
Iâm honestly furious with myself for going...
Read moreBelow is the 5 star review that I left a year ago. OMG. No. Never again. This years annual visit consisted of carfully selected, clean folded clothing. Where do I begin. First of all the store was packed with clothing. That should have sent a message. But most items were not of the caliber that I usually purchased. Bad. I waited over an hour...maybe 2. They bought $40 from me. And that was put on my card. The staff, usually very pleasant...seemed tired and unhappy. I now have over 200 dollars and I am not sure how I will spend it. Maybe the Market St Shop will have a better selection. And, this is it for me and Crossroads. Over the weekend I had a Courtyard sale (with items offered to Crossroads), ordered a rolling rack from Amazon and made 250 plus dollars!! Oh well...
Another great day!! Made $175 in store credit! I am a total shopper and resale is part of the process. I never make less than $150 a visit! Everything I bring in fits the shops needs. TIPS: the correct season, clean, no wrinkles, neatly folded in a suitcase. Do not bring junk in an old grocery bag. And, please be respectful of the staff. They are darling young people that work really hard to keep an inviting shop. Big HUG to...
