Seriously... Have you ever had a burger before...? The answer is "NO," No you haven't because you haven't had a Roam Burger yet!!!
I dare thee to challenge their flavor combinations between two toasted buns. If I might make a suggestion too. If it is your first time there then get the Tejano. You're welcome in advance. Even if you don't like some of the ingredients on the burger, it's still going to change your life. You palate is going to be changed forever.
Oh, get a house sauce and pickles on the side. You're welcome again.
My dad's quote (who is old I might add) "probably the best burger I've ever had". My best friend's quote (separate occasion) "probably the best burger I've ever had... I can't think of a better one, but I'm leaving the probably in there just in case" My friend Jessica (a true foodie indeed), the second she took a bite she goes "OMG... OMG. This is soo good". They all had the Tejano.
I've taken more than 50 people here (I live and go to school close ok...), and not one of them was not thoroughly impressed by their burger (not always the Tejano).
They have many burgs, I've tried them all, and in different combos. The heritage is a good standard burger if you're afraid to let your taste buds run completely wild. The sunny side is pretty amazeee. Ummmm, I'm too tired to keep typing and you're probably done reading this anyway. But if you are still reading then you get an extra-special second life-altering gem from this location. THEIR SHAKES ARE THE BOOOMMMBBB!!! Specifically anyone that they make there... but more specifically get the Hazelnut Chocolate Shake. It is the best shake you will ever have. Close your eyes, enjoy. It's basically nutella, but again... life-changing.
Happy Roamin'
PS: The animals are all fed grass before you eat them so that makes them more delicious... not...
Read moreI love trying veggie burgers and meat substitutes, so I wanted to try Roam’s vegan bacon burger. The first thing I noticed was how incredibly expensive it was. At Shake Shack earlier this week, a bacon burger and fries were $14. This was over $25, and it wasn’t even meat I was paying for. That said, the burger was made of very fresh ingredients. The bun was wheaty and slightly sweet. The pickles were unlike any I’ve had on a burger before, more of a bread and butter pickle. The faux bacon was chewy like bacon and a little salty but not notable and definitely not crispy or fatty. The burger itself surprised me because it wasn’t even trying to be meat like. It seemed to be made mostly of rice and quinoa and didn’t have too much flavor. The best vegan part was probably the melted cheese, which passed reasonably for American. All of the toppings stacked so high it was actually very hard to eat the burger because I could only take partial bites of it! While it was warm and nourishing, it would not at all have satisfied a craving for a bacon cheeseburger. It was missing the fatty richness and texture of meat and fake meat products. The sweet potato fries were excellent, very crispy and fun, but did not combine at all well with the truffle and parmesan seasoning. I recommend going with the chipotle maple instead. I wish they only had two fry options - truffle russet, and chipotle maple sweet potato. So, it was all fresh and cooked well, but way, way too expensive for a restaurant without table service, and the vegan burger just didn't hit the mark. Some veggie burgers are so satisfying in their own right that you don't miss the meat at all, and this one really felt like health food. If you’re looking for something as a vegetarian that won’t make you miss Five Guys and Shake Shack, you should...
