Without a doubt for me customer service and friendliness (apart from making memories and quality family time) is right up there with cleanliness and an inviting ambiance. This place has it! From delicious morning soothing coffee to mouth watering freshly baked French Hotdogs and danishes. My goodness no wonder the line was so darn long! So why a 4 and not a 5… the space. I was looking forward to going in, getting my delicious coffee and French hotdog and sitting down while I read a few more chapters of my book. Instead I found myself in the corner on a side of I’m not sure where. However it’s worth it because even if I couldn’t find a spot to read my book I definitely finished my coffee and fancy hotdog so all is well and I hope your experience is just as good. #enjoy 💕🥐

Then, he said.."It's on Pine Street, on the left..right by the old Joy Hammer's Clamatorioum, where Weasel Stickinbox got her start. The La Boulangerie de San Francisco...you can't miss it. They've got Amazing pizza, Joy used to take all her girls there. So, I said.."Who the hell is Joy Hammer and what's a Clamatorioum? Well...he said "Joy ..and in her words...is the owner and the official taste tester of the Clamatorioum, and the Clamatorioum is where all those girls hang out when they're in town from Monte Rio. Too much info...way too much I said, and I bee lined it straight to La Boulangerie had had some Amazing pizza! ☆☆☆☆☆

Cute little bakery. We got a garlic, spinach goat cheese quiche, an almond croissant, a kouign-amann, a ham and Swiss croissant, and a peach and custard. The quiche was tasty but the goat cheese was a little salty for my taste. The almond croissant was ok but kinda matches the taste from Panera. The kouign-amann is a very lemon flavor so be ready for that. The ham and Swiss tasted more like Parmesan than Swiss. The peach pastry was actually my favorite, with just a bit of peach flavor on a light custard.

I've been coming here for years with my daughter, and usually, Itala is quite abrupt with us.

I typically brush it off, knowing that she doesn't enjoy her job, which is clear to everyone.

However, about two weeks ago, my daughter and I were visiting when a new staff member, who was extremely nice, joined our conversation. Itala interrupted to scold her for not knowing where some baguette sandwiches were located.

The young lady explained that they had rearranged things, and since it was only her third day, she was still learning. In response, Itala made a serious allegation that I won't repeat.

I suspect she bullied this woman, which is likely why we haven't seen her since.

It’s important to focus more on properly disciplining those who drive away good staff with bullying tactics. This behavior is simply unacceptable. Being part of a small, exclusive group while alienating other staff members is not only unfortunate and disrespectful, but it also affects a person's livelihood. They depend on their jobs for financial support, yet they must endure abuse at work.

Itala clearly believes her way of doing things is superior, and if she likes you, you're fine---you can misplace itemms here and there because it's 'your' way--‐But if she doesn't, her underlying biases become evident. For the sake of everyone involved, individuals like her shouldn't be working in a French establishment if they harbor any form of racism towards the very people and the culture they represent.

I hope this review conveys my frustrations clearly. It infuriates me to witness blatant bullying, and I can't help but feel that Itala treats Hispanic employees more kindly and promptly, while being aggressive toward others, particularly those of...

Bought by Starbucks, and you can really tell by the customer service. The team here is so different from the team at Hayes Valley. They’re rude, and they look like they hate their jobs. The manager is also extremely rude, so I suppose, leading by example. A man cut in front of me and my child recently and the team served him even knowing that he skipped the line. In the past, a woman jumped in front of me and the same thing happened. They truly do not care about their patrons. We come here frequently, even though their quality doesn’t compare to local bakeries. Their coffee and espresso drinks are almost always undrinkable. The service staff makes the setting so awkward and uncomfortable inside. We will no longer...
