USA Market — Local services in San Francisco

Very unfriendly. The clerk is usually on the phone and doesn't greet or acknowledge customers. No prices on items...the clerk makes up the prices so each time they are different but consistently high. I've only gone there as a last resort without other options despite it being 1/2 block from home. A lot of the products are very old and past their expiration date. A friend stopped their one time to buy a bottle of wine to bring to dinner. It was rather expensive and when we opened it, we realized it had turned to vinegar-the result of storing it for a long time upright instead of on its side. Expired, dusty and low-quality goods. Rude, unfriendly service, always ignoring you and won't bag your purchase for you. Never has the basics, can't ever find simple things like eggs or milk here most days. Only good for beer and wine, but even then, it's expensive and the merchandise is covered in dust. Blech. Came in today to buy an ice cream sandwich and the sandwiches were visibly smushed and melted. Who wants something like that!? I'll probably keep popping in every week to not buy anything, just so I remember how gross this place is before I go to any other corner store...

So much more going on here than others in the area and since Walgreens on Franklin grifted out this is the place! Takes your EBT and all cards and, oh yeah even cash! Great alcohol selection if you drink that stuff 😁. They have a better size difference selection on most articles than most neighborhood markets and prices are reasonable for a corner store 🏬. We very much recommend the USA Market here in Eddy Street...
