If you are looking for a good night out in Puerto Rico and you think certainly you can count on LongHorn Steakhouse you should pass by this one. Something is wrong with the management. It was busy so I didn't mind and I stood at the bar for 15 minutes but got no help. Ni offense I will go to outside bar where only 15 people were but 5 servers. I waited 10 minutes. NOT ONE LOOK. I thought I will help out so I turned on my flashing lights on my phone but none of the staff at the bar even looked up and kept changing my ring tones to see if I could just get a a drink. It was busy. So I just went back inside. In about 10 minutes (it had been an hour) I went inside and they finally gave me a table. I"m cool because I understand that the staff do the best they can. However no waiter was assigned to help me. FINE. I pretended to be asleep and finally one came because I flagged them down. Turns out no one was going to wait on me. SO Then I ordered a martini. I saId DO NOT PUT A LIME IN IT but put a lemon twist. I got a lime. Then they brought bread. Good. BUTTER is good and gin is good. They didn't have to do much for that. So after having a Martini with bread as appitizer And no service to let me order then in response to my complaint they said we will bring soup on the house to make up for the unpleasant experience of coming to pay $60 for dinner. It was cold. SO I ASKED IF they would heat it up and put some blue cheese crumbles in it. In about 8 to 10 minutes it came back. It was hot and really really good. I mean delicious. I was disappointed but I said I would let it go since I had thought all day of coming to Longhorn I said even though I have been here an hour and a half and I was full now I came to eat something good. I ordered ribs because I didn't want a failure in cooking the steak . The ribs came out cold. SERIOUSLY and the restaurant was really only half full by then. They said they would give me the soup free. But I said I am not eating cold ribs after cold soup. I asked the manager to comp my meal and let me leave without paying. BTW the ribs took one hour to come out. I was starting to track the time. So the manager came and apologized but said they were going to charge me for my bad LONGHORN EXPERIENCE anyway. I say this has to do with them having the idea they are elite and that they are so awesome that mainland folks will keep coming no matter what attitude they have. So I tipped the poor waiter $20 and paid $18 for soup bread and a Martini. I really enjoyed it because it PITIFUL. I think a restaurant that makes a million dollars a year in Puerto Rico ought to be ashamed of the their sorry attitude. And I told them that I came to do disaster relief and was seriously concerned about their situation. IT DIDN'T MATTER. I have been doing disaster relief for 40 years and people everywhere will buy my dinner even out of respect and I don't even need that at all. It just goes to show you that when a company begins to HAVE A SORRY SORRY ATTITUDE you know that company is soon to be replaced. I like it that they charged me for SORRY SERVICE after I patiently explained what was so discouraged about the experience. Tourist what do you...
Read moreEven thought the food was good, I am giving two stars because of the service. I am visiting from Florida this weekend for my father's birthday and where he wanted to go there for dinner was there. Upon to our arrival, we let the greeter know that it was his birthday celebration. When our waitress came to get the drinks order, she seemed to be in a rush and practically didn't give us time to think what we wanted (or if we wanted) an appetizer. She wrote the order and left. A different waiter brought the appetizer, but not the drink. After a while, we asked a different waiter for the drink with no better luck. This is when I realized that our waitress was distracted with a table of obviously people she and other waiters know. I had to ask, for the third time, for my dad's drink. Again, different waiters brought the food while she was talking to the people on that table. At any moment she came to ask how was everything or if we wanted something else. After finishing eating, we ordered coffee...she brought it and again disappeared. Once again, I had to look for another waiter because the coffee was cold and not the one I ordered. While having our coffee...we expected to have the dessert with the waiters singing Happy Birthday...which never happened. Again, I had to stand up and look for someone else to ask for this and this time, I was already showing how disappointed I was. I know that this last waiter let our waitress know about the situation, it's when she tried to be nice, but it was too late. Furthermore, I could notice the sarcastic face that the male sitting on that table made. My parents were very disappointed and keep saying that they haven't been treated this bad for the longest time. We wanted to make this day memorable for my elderly dad and this waitress...
Read moreI don't say this lightly and I believe sometimes you can have a bad day at a restaurant. However I went to this location two times in a matter of 2 weeks and the preparation of the ribeye steak was horrible. The first visit the seasoning was so intense I returned the ribeye. When I received the replacement ribeye it appeared to have been broiled. I asked for the ribeye medium and what I received was a dry boiled steak. Not once did anyone appear to inquire regarding the poor quality of the first stake. The calamaris appetizers were dry and tough. I chalked it up to a bad day. I then went back just a few weeks later with more family members. Only to receive the ribeye broiled. The young waitress attempted to explain that the ribeye is pan seared and therefore it comes out in that manner. At this point I knew something is not right with the preparation of a ribeye so I requested the ribeye with a bone in it. Also to be prepared as I requested which was medium rare. The second ribeye was made much better. However the quality was still lacking in comparison to other steakhouses. My family members were satisfied with their meals and so was I after a second attempt. Once again no one addressed or offered any explanation from the kitchen. Due to the lack of accountability and the lack of management I would never visit this establishment nor patronize the franchise. It is evident how commercialized it has become. The two stars are for the attempts to resolve the matter however the quality of the food and lack of...
