Purple Pelican — Local services in Seaside

I wear essential oils due to pain and I used them for years. I walked by the store and saw an item I wanted to buy. I went over to the only staff at the store to ask a question. After she answered my question with a sour face, I turned to look at the item I wanted. She then proceeded to tell me my perfume was too strong and I had to leave. NEVER has anyone told me before that the smell of the oils bothered them. But to kick a customer out for that? I'm sorry she was sensitive, but really? So I left. I put the oils on hours ago and the smell deteriorates quickly. I wonder how many more customers she has kicked out and lost sales over. If she is that sensitive to smells I think this is not the best place for...

What a gem of a shop!!!! As we were walking by we saw a cute little purse embroidered with a fox (my niece's favourite animal). We went in to buy it, and found one with a Llama (my OTHER niece's favourite animal). But shoot...there was no Owl purse for the third niece!!!! Not to disappoint, the staff checked their supply and found an owl purse hidden in the back. I can't WAIT for Christmas to give these gifts to my nieces. The staff was so friendly, accommodating, and helpful. I'm over the moon happy with the purchases I have from here, and I am very pleased. Thank you so much for going out of your way to help us...

Being local, I desperately wanted to find a gift for my physical therapist in Portland that wasn't touristy with "Seaside" plastered on everything.
