the selection is good and the shop is organized appealingly but the prices are straight up a SCAM!!! i have been in to this store many times and every time have walked out in horror at the prices. guava paste that is $5.99 elsewhere is $16.99 for the same size and brand here!!!! $6.99 for sangria señorial or any other latin soda which are $1.49 at safeway or $3 at a taco truck like excuse me???? $9.99 for TWO frozen arepas with cheese??? WHO is paying these absurd prices iâm convinced their whole business model is to hoodwink unsuspecting tourists and local well meaning gĂŒeros who are trying to make an âexoticâ dish and need ingredients they arenât familiar with and donât know the price of. i am currently driving an hour round trip to castillos in burien despite living 2 blocks away from pike please because i walked into mercado latino today for two things and was so horrified by the price i walked out in a near rage. i was planning to buy guava paste, knowing it is normally $5-7 other places, i conceded that would pay $10 for the convenience of getting it nearby my apartment, but after seeing the packages at mercado latino labeled $16.99 and $19.99 for GOYA guava paste i broke out laughing in the store. the owners of this store are playing a joke on the community and fooling people who donât know any better or canât commute to burien or shoreline for latin groceries. The owners of this store arenât even latino and they clearly think their customers are fools who can spend $60 on a few pantry staples that would total $20 at any other latin grocery. Empanadas are a rip off too. I cannot emphasize enough how much this store wants to swindle its customers, i live 2 blocks from here, and would be a regular customer if the prices were comparable or even slightly higher than other latin grocery stores in seattle area. but i cannot bring myself to pay their prices which are consistently TRIPLE the price of other grocery stores. Shame on this store itâs...

Pessoal e muinto Carinhoso. Atenção total.
We highly recommend this store. I am of a Latino background and I speak three languages. We do not have this type of store where we live so we took advantage since we were in the area.
There is plenty of parking and please park diagonal with the front end of your car up on the sidewalk. Parking is tight. Dont block store entrances.

Read moreOver priced but you can get products that are hard to find elsewhere in Seattle. Most grocery chain stores just carry a small variety of MexTex pseudo-Mexican products. This store carries products and ingredients for all types of authentic Latin American cuisines. Personally I love Cuban cuisine and the mextex products available at grocery chain stores don't cut it, too spicy and variety too limited. I found all kinds of awesome ingredients here for making my favorite Cuban dishes but paid 3 times what they go for in cities where these same products are available in any grocery store. But... sometimes it's just worth it when you can't find the products anywhere else. I would give this store 4 stars on product variety but 2 stars on price. So lets average it out to 3 stars keeping in mind that you can find almost anything you need for authentic Latin American cuisines not easily found elsewhere in Seattle and of course price and location, location, location go...
