They told me to leave a good review. Edit after owner response: The owner of the store is also a liar. I never "extorted" anyone and I never gave them my name, so how would they even be able to throw around those accusations in the first place? If you like stores that are 75% Seattle t-shirts, 25% cringe-worthy nonsense, and are littered throughout by passive-aggressive signs that insult customers for touching any of the displays, then this is the store for you. I'm going to attach a screenshot of what the owner said in case they edit their statement. DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO LAUGH AT HOW OUT OF TOUCH EVERYTHING HERE IS.
Edit 2: Your apology is marred by the fact that you doxed my family. You are a sick person if you think a negative review warrants this kind of response. DO NOT GO TO OR REVIEW THIS STORE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE CREEPED ON BY A OWNER WHO MOONLIGHTS AS AN INTERNET STALKER.
Edit 3 (I'm tired of going on and on about this): I don't appreciate you suggesting that I'm racist. I am not. You can't apologize in one sentence and accuse in another. I wouldn't recommend your store to anyone. I suggest you work on your PR. And, to be frank, you take criticism so personally that I don't think you're fit to handle any interactions with customers either in the...
Read moreI have known the owner and his family for years. I used to manage a store in the pike place market and got to know Jay very well. He is very personable and outgoing with customers. I still recommend his shop (even though I don't work in the market anymore) to tourists looking for great Seattle souvenirs, or anyone looking for unique shirts often designed by the owner himself. It's sad when nowadays, nobody let's anyone know when they're doing a good job, and if there is a gripe, they complain online rather than confront the situation as it's happening. This is a small business that has been around for 30 years, not a corporation. We need to support our local businesses. From my understanding of the last few negative responses, the owner had a good interaction with a family and asked if they wanted, to write a review online of their experience. Two of the kids in the family made a joke of it online and trashed this company just because. Even though the kids think this is funny, this affects the owner hugely. This is a family's livelihood. I encourage everyone to visit this little gem in the city and see what I mean about how nice the owner is. Old Seattle is disappearing fast, we need our small businesses. Write kind reviews online to support...
Read moreI visited this store several times during my stay in Seattle. Purchased 4 shirts/sweatshirts. This morning we were in a rush before we flew back home and wanted to exchange for a bigger size. The door and one site say they open at 9 am, another said 9:30 am. So we waited till 9:30 am, no one showed up, called the number and was told they didn't open till 10:30 am and that the information online was really old. Well guess what, change your signage. Now we are stuck with a sweatshirt that doesn't fit. Cashier who went on about "new way of thinking" nonsense was quite offensive. Prices were reasonable. Would...
