I came to this salon visibly shaken and I had scalp bleeding after being attacked by a crow just outside. All I asked for was a bit of sanitizer — not a free service, not special treatment — just basic human decency.
Instead, I was met with forced smiles, dismissive comments about how “busy” they were, and the door quite literally pushed shut in my face. No concern, no kindness, not even a simple “Are you alright?”

Read moreChris M. has been my only barber for…let me check…6 years (geez that makes me feel old)! He is helpful at giving suggestions when I don’t know exactly what I want and always gives an awesome cut that I’ve never been disappointed with.
Valiant Barber Downtown is a cool place too. It has a unique design with tall windows all around, which makes it a neat spot for a haircut and a nice change from some of the other, darker barber shops I’ve visited in the past.
I have followed Chris from different locations and despite his best efforts he can’t get rid of me (kidding of course).

The guy who I went to the last two times left my hair unfinished— hair was uneven, no blending, not shaped, and other barbershops called it “3/4 done”. I asked him if I could come back to get the rest touched up. He said he would text me a time and never did.
