Honestly super disappointed with this store. I have been coming here for years and today I went in with my family. (We just came from the lake so we are still in our water clothes). And a girl with red hair is following me and my family around the store checking to see if we are stealing. I called her out on it in the end. Everyone else is super nice.

Update 8/14 While I appreciate their response it is still wrong. I am latino and so is my family and not a single employee followed the white family that was in the store at the same time as us. I understand from a business standpoint that they need to keep an eye out for stealing but this person legit followed me and my family from the front to the back. I even mentioned to them I would go check the keychain again and candies to confirm my speculation and it was correct. That is when I called her out on it. I visited this store with a friend today Jan17 around 10h30am, and while we were excited about the clothes we found and ready to make our purchase, our experience at the counter completely ruined it. The cashier was incredibly rude, handling the clothes aggressively. Concerned, I asked if everything was okay because we were shocked and speechless by his behavior.

He proceeded to complete our transaction, but then threw our change, causing it to fall to the floor, and started yelling in front of everyone. To this moment, we still don’t understand what triggered such a reaction, but it was truly disappointing, especially while on vacation. This is not the type of experience anyone...

This is some racism. Cactus Carlos is based off of a stereotype of Mexican men. He is a mustachioed man wearing a sarape and sombrero, what else? Why not add a soccer ball and have him waving the Mexican flag. It’s not any Mexican/chicanx/or Latinx person’s fault you haven’t met with enough people of color. Change it up! It’s 2018. If you’re offended by this post, then you are part of the problem. I am simply pointing out the racism in this store...
