My recent experience here was extremely disappointing. In the past when I have came here the other young lady is working there, and she has always been extremely helpful and eager to answer any questions I had. This last time whenI visited I met the owner, and I told her I was hoping to get some guidance on how to do a freezer spell and was really surprised by the response I received. She said that she was a Christian and believes in Jesus and didn’t believe in doing spellwork, and that she can’t help me with that. While I absolutely respect her personal beliefs, I was confused. This is a spiritual/metaphysical shop that sells candles, herbs, oils, and other tools typically used for spellwork. It’s natural that people will want to come in for different things, and it’s okay if you don’t have the same beliefs of your customer, but throwing the “I’m a Christian” thing out seemed very judgy and unnecessary. One could even argue using crystals and burning candles for protection is a form of spell work in and of itself. I am a Christian myself and still do spellwork. Everyone has different beliefs and that’s okay. What is NOT okay is judging for what I want to learn and my beliefs, and making it seem like I’m less of a Christian or believer bc of what I do. While she did give me advice on protection “rituals” (I guess burning candles for protection isn’t spellwork), I tried asking more questions for understanding and she just seemed standoffish and just not nice. On top of that the items here are way expensive and overpriced. If you’re looking for guidance or support in your spiritual practice, especially if it involves spellwork, just know that might not be the vibe here. It felt less like a safe, supportive space and more like I was being subtly shamed for...

Brittanys’ voice gives lay down your burdens, walking the floor made me want to drop all my pent up traumas and stressors at the door to not burden the stores energy with my own. It’s blissful, peaceful and tranquil. The stores energy is off the charts and I can’t thank her enough for sharing her gifts. This was my 5th attempt at a black owned metaphysical shop/boutique. Every other one was never open during listed hours, the energy was off or the selection was poor. I got herbal blends, incense, bath salts and so many other goodies. That’s it and that’s all. I won’t be exchanging energy anywhere else.
