Coast To Coast Beach Rentals — Local services in South Padre Island

I was on the beach with my family when I heard that the island was selling out of the 6 passenger golf carts. So I call this place and they said they have two left-a neon green and a neon pink one. I ask the lady on the phone if I can reserve one. She said that I can but they prefer to just do walk-ins bc they often have people who reserve a golf cart and never show up. I assured her that I wasn’t going to do that because we were with a large group of people and everyone else had already gotten a golf cart, we were the last ones to get one and didn’t want to be left out. The lady agreed to let me reserve the neon green golf cart, 6 passenger, with a 5pm pick up time. It was 4:20pm when I got off the phone with her. I asked my husband to leave me and our children at the beach and go ahead and pick up the golf cart. He made it there before 5pm and the lady had given the golf cart away. Didn’t even wait until 5pm to see if we showed up before leasing it out. She did not honor our reservation; therefore, we will NEVER use this company and that includes all the other people that we travel with annually. Thankfully, a different company had one left, they held it for us until we got there, and we were able to rent...

These people are scammers. Do not rent from these people. My group booked and paid for two golf carts back in April for the Fourth of July weekend in South Padre. Show up to pick them up, they guy working the counter disappeared for 30 minutes to tell me there were mechanical issues, the business was closed, there were no more carts in the island (there were 100s), you name it he lied about it. Then wanted us to spend more money at his buddies place down the street to get the carts we had already paid for. Dude just lied through his teeth, I got my money back and hit up another place. Avoid these scam artists...

Our family had a blast renting a golf cart from Coast to Coast rentals (The Wave). We stopped by a few other shops closer to our condo advertising golf carts for $120 for 24 hours only to be told the price on the sign was wrong and it was actually $100 more because of a weekend surcharge. This was on Thursday. Don't get fooled. Go here instead. We paid $120 + tax for a 6 seater/24 hours and were in and out in 5 minutes cruising around in the golf cart. Our family...
