I would like to say a sincere thank you to Cynthia Seman from Kay jewelers Customer service department and to Gina at the Saint Clairsville, Ohio store. I have had such a horrible experience with the Kay Jewelers in Cambridge, Ohio that after 30 plus years of shopping with them, I was ready to cut ties. Tiffany, the manager, is incredibly rude and completely unconcerned with customer service and/or customer satisfaction. After sending away a mother's ring that is very precious to me for nothing more than a sizing, it came back damaged, scratched and scraped up, and missing a stone. Less than 12 hours later I took it back to the store and was treated as though I was somehow lying and I had done this damage to my own ring. Tiffany argued with me telling me how it's impossible for that ring to leave their store like that⦠but finally upon my insistence, she agreed to repair the ring. I also have a 14 carat gold Box chain that I paid an additional $80 to cover under the extended warranty. When it broke the 1st time they repaired it, the 2nd time they repaired it, the 3rd time in 3 months again they repaired it. When I suggested they replace it at that point Tiffany refused. Finally with no recourse I called the corporate office and spoke with a gentleman in the customer service department named Dennis who simply kept sending my jewelry away to be repaired even though after sending it away to repair 4 or 5 TIMES, and it came back still damaged every time. After all of the months without my jewelry all he could say was he was sorry and embarrassed, but let's send it away again! ABSOLUTELY NOT!! When I spoke with Cynthia who was a supervisor in the same dept, she showed a genuine interest and concern for the issues I was having and immediately suggested making a brand new ring and replacing the old one, and even allowed me to keep the original since it had sentimental value to me. When I met Gina at the St Clarsville store, she made sure the necklace that I had sent away to be repaired several times was replaced immediately as well. I am now working with Gina onthe on one and they are designing a BRAND NEW mother's ring for me! I honestly cannot say enough about how much I appreciate these two women and it absolutely renews my faith in Kay Jewelers. Thanks completely to the two of them, my family and I fully intend to continue to shop there for many years to come. He asked me some simple questions and then we talked about how my wife and I met, what we do for fun, and her interests. From that conversation, he some how managed to pick out the perfect ring, which she is still in love with 10 years later. He has become practically family over the years by always helping me pick out the perfect gifts for my wife. Cliff has always been able to take the image I try to explain to him and coming back with a handful of jewelry that perfectly represents the image I had in my head. Cliff is a fantastic jeweler and always treats me and my family like we are old friends. He even gives my daughters suckers and treats⦠with our permission of course. We were buying a fairly expensive ring and had questions. ( itās ok to ask questions for additional knowledge on a major purchase isnāt it? ). When we left our friends were still in the store and one of the salesgirls or managers said to the other employee wow I am glad I didnāt have ā those peopleā. Little did they know our friends heard it all. They left and let us know. And we wont be back. Many choices out there where to spend your money. Spend it anywhere else. Maybe the lack of knowledge is the reason for not liking the kind of people who ask questions when buying. Just show a little respect and remember someone may be watching you...
