I cannot say enough amazing things about Chris Nowa at Ulta Beauty in St. Clairsville. He is, hands down, the best hairstylist I’ve ever had. I spent years bouncing from stylist to stylist, getting inconsistent results—sometimes decent, sometimes downright disappointing. That all changed the day I sat in Chris’s chair.

From the very first haircut, Chris has been consistently incredible. He’s never given me a bad cut—not once. Every visit, I leave feeling like a million bucks. His attention to detail, professionalism, and passion for his craft are unmatched—not just in hairstyling, but in any professional realm I’ve ever experienced. It’s rare to find someone who shows up 100% every time, and Chris does exactly that.

Beyond his skill, Chris has also become someone I genuinely look forward to seeing. He’s kind, thoughtful, and has been a great person to talk to when life gets tough. It’s more than a haircut—it’s a boost in confidence and a moment of peace in my day.

I was very happy to see such a large selection of high quality beauty products, and reasonable prices too. Staff actually know their products and are able and willing to help you. I ran out of everything lol and went into the store today before work to replenish and I needed help, Sydney was the unlucky cashier that had to deal with me lol but she answered every question with ease she knew of was able to suggest and locate a product for every need that I had she knew which products would work well together and which ones wouldn't and explained to me how to determine these things on my own in the future what ingredients would work well together and want one's wouldn't why one product should be one shade lighter than another product she was very very professional yet very personable and relatable. I'm about to try all the new things that she showed me because honestly there's only one product I bought today that I've bought in the past everything else is a new brand and a new product and she sold...

Pretty freaking pissed about my visit. Former ULTA employee at another location, and was NOT at all impressed. I didn't get a greeting (I know a miniscule thing to complain about but the employees are literally trained to do this). I asked the only employee that would give me the time of day a question and she had to ask someone else for help. You're supposed to know the product you're selling to customers. The employee she asked to help me literally told me where to find it and that was it. She didn't explain the product or anything. It's a good thing I know about the product, because if not I would have been totally clueless. I went to let them know they were out and to see if they had any in backstock. 3 of them were standing together and completely ignored me, even after I said excuse me quite a few times.
