Over all just a horrible company, pretty sure it’s a nation wide terrible company but MERS is no exception. Most stores use Ebay as a price guide for donated(free) inventory. The CEO does not want to pay employees a living wage and actively fought against raising minimum wage. They punish employees for not wanting to work in unsafe work environments such as sorting bins of clothes infested with bed bugs, people shouldn’t be put into a position where they either work through these conditions and risk bringing something home to someone that might not be able to handle it or get fired for job abandonment. I very well could continue and tell all about some of the most unprofessional management I’ve ever encountered in a work place but they are not worth my time writing. Some of the work staff are genuinely great people but the others would soon stab you in the back as it fits them. Just do yourself a favor and find your local thrift store, and support them instead. They’ll appreciate it a lot more. If this review gets taken down then I’ll just leave a 1 star with no explanation, so...
Read moreThis place exploits people with disabilities, especially a woman named Monique. When I reported Monique's actions to HR, the HR lady never called me back. If you have a disability, please avoid working here. The benefits are terrible, and the pay is abysmal. They will take advantage of people with disabilities, and the case workers know about the issues but do nothing. They won't even report it; instead, they cover up the problems to protect their employees.
Monique has been known to tell her employees with disabilities to pretend to be her. She made employees lift heavy equipment that wasn't even part of their job because she didn't want to call for help. I have so much I can say about this woman! Her boss, Marvin, knows about her actions. She has even called employees during the night to take shifts they aren't responsible for, lying to them by saying it's part of their contract when it's not. HR is not your friend at all working here! Be careful who...
Read moreI won a bid online and the items I received were junk. I wanted to return them and they refused returns. I will never purchase anything from them again. BEWARE! There are no gaurentees or refunds for the items you get online. If it is junk, or broken, you are stuck with it! I have had several simular experiences this year with goodwill industries. I have spent thousands online over the past few years supporting goodwill. I also supported my local goodwill with thousands of dollars worth of cloths, furniture, electronics, etc. Missouri goodwill is the worst. I will no longer support the goodwill industry. There are other organizations that can us the...
