I ❤❤❤ craft stores! I am a crafter, painter, and a DIY stay at home mom. Unfortunately Hobby Lobby did not get a very good rating from me. I had a whole afternoon to myself, a mom of 3 boys this is very rare, I was near Hobby Lobby and have never been there so I was very excited to finally check it out! I had a list of few few random things to get and hours to myself so I took my time and went through every isle. Well after about 20 minutes of taking my time, looking at items and checking out prices I noticed I was being followed by an employee. They thought I was shop lifting :( I understand it is part of their job, so I put my purse in the front of my cart, zipped, so hopefully they would see that I wasn't and had no plans to steal. This didnt work and they employee stayed closer to me and was clearly annoyed I was enjoying my free time browsing. I became so uncomfortable I only made it through half the isles and two items on my list but decided I wanted to leave. I checked out, the cashier was very short and almost to the point of being rude. I got my wallet out of my purse and made sure I set my bag on the counter and dug around so she could see there was no merchandise inside. Like I said I understand it is part of their job but I felt like I wasn't wanted there and was pushed out. I'm not exactly sure why either. I'm a slow shopper? A browser? I will not go back even though it is a very good craft store with pretty...
Read moreProducts are overly abundant and various. Tons of ideas for new projects. Very clean and well organized. I could spend hours, here and still not see everything!
I got several projects from here most were very simple and easy to understand. For example, I got some encouraging signs to hang on my door, the magnets were super easy to install and then make my apartment door my fighting mantra! I also got some beads to make a cute necklace, along with a single charm un the middle. If I had the correct size needle 🪡, it would have been way easier to finish!
I wish I had an unlimited income, because I'd definitely like to make another trip there. The items I bought were all sale items, but everything was very affordable! I spent about $60 and got several projects to work on, in...
Read moreA big CONGRATS to Master Framer Laura! Laura and Ray do excellent framing of many local photographers' work, mine included. And she is also an artist in her own right. She recently joined the Photographic Arts Society of NWPA and entered one of her pieces in a gallery show at Glass Growers, coolest gallery in Erie. I was so happy to see her there at the Opening Night reception, especially because she was so excited to be a part of our group. I totally understand that feeling! Well, last night at our PASNWPA meeting, don't I hear that Laura SOLD her piece! Not bad for first time out, Laura! ...
