Apple won't help cancer victim with technical problem!
This all started with purchase of an iPhone 15. The iPhone purchased had numerous problems with it. Screens jumped, lost calls, but I'm won't complain about that. This is about Apple and the Companies attitude about Customer Care. THERE IS NO SERVICE!! I spoke to Apple Customer on the phone and they said bring the malfunctioning phone down to the Apple Store and they'll replace it. My girlfriend who is battling STAGE FOUR CANCER went to the store.
The store associate said Apple Care doesn't communicate with the stores very well and they couldn't do a thing. Upon learning, she is battling stage four cancer they changed their position and said they would give her a new phone, however the store did not have any phones in the store, located in The Woodlands Mall in Houston Texas. The next day store called and said your phone is there and she can come down and pick it up. She went with her friend, who also has stage four cancer, to pick up the phone. They waited four hours to get the phone. While waiting, her friend had a seizure and my girlfriend had to hold her up. Not one Apple Store associate or manager offered any help. I guess they were more interested in selling phones. She returned home and told me the story and I promptly contacted Apple to raise hell about their conduct. Because Apple recognized how bad Apple Store employee's acted and after months of trying to change Apple's policies, they sent a free MacBook Air to her. But this gesture was short-lived. My girlfriend's new iPhone 15 was hacked. She immediately contacted Apple technical support, but received no real help in the matter due to the associates lack of training. The Hacker, proceeded to gain control of her Apple ID, with all her data on it, numerous bank accounts, numerous accounts in general, and proceeded to cause havoc for her in addition to being treated for stage for cancer. Since Apple was unwilling or unable to help her regain control of her Apple ID, Iphone, watch, iPad, and finally the new MacBook Air, we had no alternative, but to do a factory hard reset on all four Apple products. Which would cause her to loose 15 years of data, pictures and memories. Now we come to the even more infuriating, Apple Customer Service. Apple informed her that they could do a factory reset on her phone and watch, but because the iPad was purchased at AT&T and AT&T's receipt didn't meet Apple standards they could not do a reset. Additionally, because Apple gifted the MacBook Air to her, there was no receipt from Apple and Apple could provide a receipt due to their policies. So, in effect, Apple gave her a laptop for all the problems they caused her which is now useless. Before anyone Questions whether or not we have reached out to Apple for help I have spoken to 12 senior product specialists and have 10 open cases regarding this problem. When I have explained to Apple the stress caused by this to my girlfriend, who is battling stage four cancer, and now the financial loss, they only say there is nothing they can do. Apple has offered NO solutions for the hackers and admits Apple cannot stop them. Apples response is "we can do nothing". Apple is one of the wealthiest companies in the world and it's very sad because they really just do not care. Prior to this, I would've purchased Apple products because of the reputation however, it appears the product quality, definitely customer service and caring about the customer has been eliminated. Read moreI received the worst customer service I didn’t believe possible yesterday (March 9, 2021) at the Woodlands TX apple store. In order to be seen you first have to schedule a reservation. If you have a broken phone, and are unable to make calls or use the screen, there is no other option but to seek help from complete strangers with a request to use their device to make a reservation for a spot in the apple line to be seen by an apple representative or drive to a computer hub or anywhere that you can access a device with internet in order to make your reservation. Apple does not provide a kiosk for the purpose of making a reservation or purchase of apple products while your right there at their store. Again, total reliance on strangers to be decent human beings. Their is an older guy and a police officer who guard the front and offer no assistance. If your of brown skin, the older guy will immediately direct you to the police offer and say “you can ask that cop over there for assistance scheduling a reservation”. I noticed that he would sit and have an open dialogue with all other potential customers who have the same issues. After you have spent nearly 15-20 minutes locating a device to make your reservation to stand in a long line and potentially be seen by an apple rep, you discover the standard wait time is 35+ minutes just to be seen for either the purchase of an apple device(s) or to fix an issue with said apple device(s). You get to the representative after being asked to show your confirmation number repeatedly to more than one door guard. If you don’t have a standard reservation number with a QR code or similar such as a scannable bar code, you will be interrogated and treated as if you are a 3rd class citizen who is lying. Spend more time defending your reservation number and position in line then you do standing in the line itself. After making your way through what appears to be an apple store that is as guarded as Fort Knox, you are escorted to one of the most unhelpful apple representatives you will ever come across. They use a very hands off approach, instructing customers to go online and use their step by step apple resources or call the call center. They are great at being cashiers but if your unfortunate and end up having an actual issue, they won’t offer any additional assistance, but rather will encourage you to reach to the apple call center for support or follow instructions on your new phone for set up and transfer of information. The entire apple store set up is a display of good faith effort but doesn’t actually address the real underlying disparaging issues. Apple can honestly say they have a store where they have apple reps who can assist, but in reality, your almost entirely on your own if your device is experiencing issues. I would highly suggest you compare the likes of Samsung and Google when it comes to the great execution of customer service and representatives who specialize in those devices and go above and beyond to assist their customers. This is one of the many areas that apple should improve on. My phones memory still hasn’t been resolved. I’ll have to wait until apple call center support opens up for the day to get recommendations on how to resolve it after spending over an hour waiting online and not being helped at the on-site store in the Woodlands TX. Was reassured by manager and technician there is no chance. And within minutes they had breached data I was just assured would not be by both manager and "best" technician. Not to mention none of the issues were resolved and all advice proved to not work as explained. Virtually every engagement with Apple is a horrible experience, full of incompetence, arrogance, and people with titles they never earned. Genuis bar? I think not. Countless emergency trips to the local store to correct issues caused by corp support staff and or the 3rd party vendor they employ for front line support. Only to arrive to the store and they lose my appointment. My purchase of a MacMini was the worst decision ever in terms of technical tools for business. The support staff from corporate to the local store is a literal shame. Apple has single handedly ruined the tech space with its over promise under deliver culture of mediocrity. Just look at the lawsuits, stocks, and ask virtually anyone you know about the truth of Apple beyond music and gaming. Tim Cook is a terrible leader, and needs to get his head back in the game, or better yet, be removed, and get someone like Elon Musk at the wheel. Someone that backs up their words with actions and care about the end users experience. Apple is "the appearance of doing good, while doing evil". PERIOD!!! Total garbage and I warn everyone of my miserable experiences, and massive losses to date. Save your joy and inner peace, and never trust apple with anything of significance to your life other than music, and they find a way to steal that too as they did during my recent permanent cancellation of apple music. All exclusively due to Tim Cooks dereliction of duty. The Apple spell check is even recommending ebonics over proper English. Apple is the trojan horse to mankind. And should be avoided at all costs. NEVER ever trust your wellbeing and livelihood to Apple. It is riddled with bugs at every turn, and a nightmare to operate. Even the support staff openly admit the lack of consistency and worse. Apple has truly lost their way and worse, they are teaching these smaller tech companies their bad habits. Its a disgrace that effects us all! The lack of continuity and logical engineering is profound. Especially using their own tools such as magic mouse. Retarded best describes this OS and engineering logic. Do yourself and loved ones a favor, never buy into their misleading marketing. Especially if you are new to the OS. Microsoft is far superior, and I cant believe i am saying this, but its the truth unfortunately. Apple deserves -100 stars in my book. And from what i am hearing, i am not the only one...
