I would not recommend this business.

I took my iPhone to have the screen and back glass repaired. A few things that made this a 1 star review: -the first screen that was used to replace my old one was much heavier, used more battery and would not dim the screen to what my original screen would. -after going back to replace the first replacement screen, I was given a "better" screen. There are two types of screens available for replacement (which was not offered to me in my first visit and not on their menu of services.) This second replacement screen is better than the first - about the same weight as the original phone, dims the screen more; however, there is a glitch and the phone will sometimes start randomly typing as I'm just holding it. This has also resulted in randomly texting and calling people. -pricing is not transparent. He quotes you a price verbally, but there is nothing on his website or store to show you what the price is. -He did not have a back glass to match my phone, so I have a white back to a black phone. Also, this is not an original back glass and is a replica replacement. -I was told to return to have my back glass changed from white to black. I was told that he had it in stock now over the phone. However, when I got to the store, apparently it wasn't an exact fit and then I would have to return.

Overall, after 4 visits to the store to get a screen replacement, I'm pretty unhappy with the overall quality of product and service. I read the google reviews and this place seems like a good place to go. But, if you need to have a screen replacement, I would think twice before going. I don't know if other shops are similar, but I did not have this issue with a screen replacement when I used to live in NYC and went to a local...

Awful service. Don't get me wrong great guys but I came back 6 no i think 7 times to ge a basic screen fixed. 7 times it took for them to get it right. I am having more difficult problems then ever, they were the first to ever open up my phone since I got this last June and I have never had these many issues..I had apple phones prior to this & the mall kiosk did a better job to my gf and even offered my gf a free case After they took longer and forgot her phone...I'm coming during my lunch break, during a rough time in the hospital....they couldn't seem to fix it. I accepted my phone is screwed now inside, not even the manager could officially fix the glitches caused by them. NOT even a full week later this phone was in my bf back pocket..like ALWAYS.. he always as it in his back pocket and he has never broken it EVER. Now I have a crack. Now with there screen protector? Sheesh it must be thinner but not as strong and no wonder why there is warranty forever. I came here thinking old country road across from a nice mall must be good service fancy.

DO NOT COME HERE. You are better off at he kiosk in the mall or apple. With tax from them you are $15-20 less than apple. WORTH IT WITH APPLE. I am very unhappy and they don't take customer service not even compensate on how much I had to give my time to them when I had serious personal issues going on for them not fixing my phone properly and getting back the way I handed it in.

I had the very good fortune to be referred to Jose at CompuCell World in Carle Place, NY. The evening before, my carrier AT&T had transitioned to their 5G Network and I needed to transfer all files from my Blackberry to my new 5G compatible phone. Jose took an immediate & sincere interest in me as a new customer. He transferred all the files that I had requested and also downloaded the apps to my Proton and Optimum e-mail accounts. Jose's professional skills and caring attitude rank second to none. I recommend Jose and his business CompuCell World to everyone without any hesitancy or concerns. He's the Go To guy for phone servicing & repair.

Addendum: I returned to CompuCell World last week (on December 1, 2023) for the repair of my phone's cracked screen, a replacement screen saver and a new case. Jose ordered the new screen which he installed, together with the new screen saver, on December 3. He needed to order the case for my AT&T Moto G phone, which he obtained and installed the following day. It is a very good feeling to have again received such first-rate professional service from Jose at CompuCell World. In past years, I have used other phone repair stores in Manhattan and on Long Island, all of which I rate as being good.
