The Hideaway Cafe is truly a hidden gem. I worked in the Verizon building across the street, and even though there is a cafeteria in the building, the Hideaway Cafe was my place of choice. The owners and employees are great people, and they work hard at providing excellent food, and darn good prices and portions. And if you love soups, they make all of them from scratch, and they're all delicious, but their Cream of Tomato soup is addictive, pair it with a Grilled cheese sandwich and you'll think you've gone to Heaven. The woman behind the counter is always very friendly but I do think the place is overpriced and not always consistent with their prices. They charged me $7 for a sandwich with just cheese, lettuce and tomato, no meat just cheese. Other times it was a little cheaper.
