I recently had the displeasure of dealing with the worst customer service I have ever encountered. The representatives were not only unhelpful but also incredibly rude, making it clear that they despised their job and had no interest in assisting customers. I went into the store with high hopes of making good money. I had brought in John Galt, Lulu Lemon, etc. I was given 54 dollars for 13 items. I proceeded to process the payment because I felt judged and the moment i walked in they were just unfriendly. I went back in after thinking in my car to get my money back. They told me they couldn’t do that after it was processed even though i had the receipt and they hadn’t even moved it yet. It was less than 5 minutes. I was met with condescending remarks and dismissive responses. It was evident that the representative had no intention of actually addressing my concerns and instead seemed to take pleasure in making the interaction as unpleasant as possible.Their lack of professionalism and outright hostility left me feeling frustrated and disrespected. It was abundantly clear that they did not value customer satisfaction and had no qualms about displaying their disdain for their own position. In my opinion, individuals who exhibit such blatant disregard for customer service should not be allowed to work in roles that require interaction with the public. It is imperative that companies prioritize training and support for their employees to ensure that customers are treated with respect and provided with the assistance they deserve. I would strongly advise anyone seeking help or support to steer clear of this particular company, as their customer service representatives embody everything that is wrong with the industry. It is truly a shame that such individuals are allowed to represent a company and tarnish its reputation with their...
Read moreThis review is mostly for those looking to sell to Plato’s Closet. While this location is newer and does seem to take more than others, my most recent visit will be my last. From the time I checked in to when I received the “your items are ready for pickup” text, only about 7 minutes had passed. When I returned, I was offered $5 for one item and told the rest were “out of style.”
I did ask about how quickly the items were processed, and the associate simply said, “that’s kind of our job.” When I got my things back, they had been shoved in the bag without much care. Once I got home, I realized why the process was so fast—several items on the bottom of the bag hadn’t even been looked at and were still folded exactly as I had left them.
Overall, if you’re hoping to sell, just know that offers here can be very low (around $3 per piece on average) and the evaluation process may feel rushed. If you’re just trying to clear out items or would otherwise donate, it might still be worth it—but I wouldn’t recommend coming in with high...
Read moreDon’t bother bringing your clothes in here. I brought 3 large boxes of clothes and a small box of shoes and they sent me a text 15 minutes later saying my items were ready. They only took two of my items that were at the very top of the box and only one box had been opened. It was very obvious nothing had been touched or sifted through, and there is no way they looked at more than those two items in 15 minutes. I definitely did not expect them to take everything, I have taken clothes to many Plato’s closest before and I am familiar with how picky they can be, but they did not even bother going through anything. I had a fair amount of nice (name brand and new) clothes they definitely would have taken had they looked through anything— Regardless, it’s one thing for them to not take anything but it was just a waste of my time to bring my clothes in when they didn’t even bother to touch it.. The staff was friendly and the store looked nice so I’m sure it’s a great place to buy items, just don’t waste your time...
