To be quite honest, it feels like there's an inconsistency at this location. Leaning more towards good than bad but still. First time ordering here, I did not like my food. Tortilla was dry regardless of being soaked in sauce, the contents felt dry, it was overall dry. Now, the second time I went there, the food I received was absolutely delicious! The tortilla was still on the dry side but fresh enough to be able to cut through and hold contents close without it falling apart. The sauce they used was excellent and their meat was fair so drastic change from before. The third time I had food here, it was ok. It just seems like a specific kind of Mexican food here. Definitely along the lines of homemade where it reminds me of our family's homemade dishes but leaning towards the food my aunt made versus the food my mom made...if that makes sense lol. I'd say it's worth giving this place a shot since I believe in supporting small businesses but you...

Their food is very good and usually the service too, but I’m vegetarian, I asked for a sope (which is $3.75 with your choice of meat) with no meat and they said they would have to charge me $1.50 extra for leaving the meat out. I was visibly upset and canceled my order because it didn’t make any sense to pay more for less so the cashier went to ask the owner and they came to our table and offered to make it for the regular price. I understand its unusual to ask for no meat but restaurants should cater to a variety of customers. I thank the nice cashier that went out of her way to make everything right for me. We love this place! It's a little hole in the wall but fantastic, fresh, Mexican food. I have not eaten anything on the menu that isn't great.

The Posole Verde was great on a chilly wintery day like today. A big bowl of large pork chunks and soft fluffy hominy in a green tomatillo broth. More than enough tortilla chips and a slice of avocado. Add the diced onion and chopped cilantro and Provechio!

The lengua and cabesa are muy bueno. Soft and flavorful and makes the best tacos. The red and green sauce are spicy and delicious.
