Hayek's Leather Furniture Inc — Local services in Tukwila

I've been meaning to post about my furniture buying experience. Last year my husband and I went sofa shopping for our oddly shaped rectangular room. We knew we wanted a large leather sectional. We had gone to just about every furniture store in the area (for a more complete list Ashley, Bassett, Thomasville/urban interiors, la-z-boy, another la-z-boy, Dania, Dania outlet, kasala, sansaco, Pacific furniture galleries, mor furniture, a few other of those stores in that tukwila industrial area, schoenfelds, crate and barrel, another crate and barrel, CB2, pottery barn, restoration hardware, room and board, and of course Ikea). We had sat on just about every couch in these stores at least twice and were still unsatisfied. Finally, we made it to Hayeks. We had always driven by the store but never stopped in until now.

The showroom is a bit on the smaller side and filled with sofas and chairs; however, it did not feel cluttered. That day there was an older gent and a younger lady, both very helpful without being pushy and let us do our "butt test" as we went around sitting on different seats. We found one couch that was perfect - super comfy and not too low or deep, with the back just the right height and not too reclined (we wanted this in a sitting room for guests so comfortable to sit without feeling too loungey or sloppy). We found out that the piece was customizable!!! They used a manufacturer in California called Omni. We knew that the wait times were going to be atrocious as everyone told us at least 6-8 months (thanks Covid!). They were upfront about everything wait times, price, delivery, etc. The two went through the customizing process for the color, leather, seat depth and cushion type. Unlike the other furniture places everything about this couch was customizable which was super important because we had a very oddly shaped rectangular space so we got the sectional in exactly the configuration we wanted.

We put in the order July/August 2021 and got our sectional March/April 2022. We paid half upfront and the other half when it was ready to be delivered from their warehouse. They used their own delivery guys who were amazing. They were professional, courteous and prompt. They set up the sectional for us and even took off their shoes when coming into the house.

We LOVE our sectional. It is soo much better than we imagined it. The leather is buttery and beautiful in color. The cushions are plush and so comfortable. We were so happy with our purchase we bought an additional reclining sofa as well. Loved the whole purchase experience which sounds strange to say as we aren't high maintenance people, but I mean they were helpful without being pushy salespeople, honest and transparent.

TLDR: 10/10 would buy...

Amazing service, quality, and selection.

My husband and I searched in literally ALL of the furniture shops in the South center area and didn't find anything that really fit our needs in terms of a mid century style couch with full grain leather. Many if not all other shops didn't have much knowledge or couldn't stand by the quality of the leather.

Hayek is something else. They had a thorough selection of choices in terms of color and quality. QUALITY is what stood out amongst the rest.

As newer home owners who are more accustomed to online furniture shopping, by far that was our biggest concern.

Hayek really stood by their products. When we couldn't find anything in their store, we searched on their website and found a style EXACTLY what we were looking for. Best yet, it was extremely customizabile.

It was a big splurge for us but we feel confident we got a couch for life and not one we will need to replace 5 - 10 years down the road.

When we were there, the person helping us mentioned the customer that came in has been a customer for 25 years and bought several couches from them. Now I get it, I hope they are here another 25 years if / when I need to buy...

I had a wonderful experience with Hayek's! Everyone was so nice and helpful. I had been thinking about a new sofa for a month or so and my husband agreed we needed a new one. I wanted leather because we had a leather sofa in the past and it was always the best. Also, we wanted 100% made in the USA. I had an idea in mind, we live in a log home so it had to be pretty specific. We walked in and took a lap around then fixed our eyes on a saddle colored sectional with nail head features and electric reclining on both ends. It was the most beautiful sofa and color I'd ever seen. It had a rustic yet classy look. I sat down and WOW, it was SO comfortable! I'm currently pregnant and I know I'm really going to enjoy this sofa. We will have the new sofa next week when it's delivered. I'm happy with the price and whole process. We were in and out very quickly. By the way, every piece in their gallery was absolutely beautiful. If I didn't have such a specific need, it would be very hard to chose! Thanks to the nice staff for helping us, we will buy from them again...
