Moving from Olympia to Texas came with lots of great things but one of the “problems” was, not having a ShaneCo locally to go in for our 6 month warranty cleaning or to go in person to shop. Luckily the online store and customer service has always been amazing and made the process easy.
Recently, while back in WA visiting family, my wife (who stayed home in TX with the kids) had a major issue where our patio umbrella fell over due to heavy winds. Murphys law took over and when the umbrella fell, it smashed her 5 year anniversary band that was sitting on the poolside side table. When she sent me the picture I couldn’t believe it. Knowing I was back in WA, I had her overnight her ring, and I would make the drive up to Lynnwood to see if they could fix it. Unbeknownst to me, in our time away from WA, the ShaneCo in Tukwila had opened. Imagine my surprise and happiness when I realized I would now only have a 1 hour drive instead of a 2 hour drive.
This is where ShaneCo of Tukwila went above and beyond, and really showed me that I made a wonderful choice when I bought her engagement ring 7 years ago.
On 5/28, we (while on the way to Seattle with my parents) were greeted by the friendly, smiling, face of Lynn. After explaining the situation and what happened, Lynn said she would talk with the jeweler on site and let me know their thoughts and when it could be ready for pickup, and if not before my flight home (6/1), how we could have it shipped back to TX after repair.
Lynn and Oksana went above and beyond, and were able to not only repair my wife’s ring, but also had it done same day in 30 minutes!! They not only saved me a drive back, but also made a stressful situation incredibly easy and joyful. Lynn and Oksana are perfect examples of the ShaneCo promise and amazing service ShaneCo provides. It’s thanks to service like this, that ShaneCo will have a lifelong client.
Thank you ShaneCo Tukwila, and a giant heartfelt thank you to both...
Read moreJust disappointed. I've been in this location 3 times now in the last 3 weeks. The first time when I walked in, the security guard was getting a beverage and stopped, put his cup down, and then started walking behind me around the store. I felt targeted, so I left. Wouldn't you know, the walks stopped. I've unfortunately been profiled so many times before, but this was wild. So, I made a purchase online. The second time, my husband and I came in and returned the online gift I purchased. We found what he wanted instead and asked the lady to see it - she told us they were closing soon and couldn't. Wow... ok. The third time was tonight. I walk in, and I go straight to the case where the item I want to purchase is. No greeting - not even from the security guard who is too busy watching something on his device.... what a surprise. I get no looks or greetings from any worker. Sure, they're all with customers, but a quick- "hey, we'll be with you shortly" would go a long way. As I finally throw in the towel waiting to be acknowledged, another couple walks by me, and a worker comes out of nowhere and asks if they've been helped yet. They literally just walked it. I'm thinking she'll ask me and help me get this gift. Nope! She walks right by, no eye contact. Three strikes, and you're out. It didn't seem like anyone wanted my business and did everything to get me to leave, so I will. I hope this helps to train your staff to make EVERYONE feel welcomed in your store, regardless of anything. Especially since if we're coming here, we're about to make a special purchase...
Read moreI am deeply disappointed by the lack of empathy and understanding I experienced during my visit to the Tukwila, WA location of Shane Co, particularly in my interaction with an associate named J. Reyes.
To provide some background, my wife's engagement ring had to be cut off in the emergency room due to swelling following the birth of our first child. Seeking assistance, I visited the Tukwila store hoping to explore options for repairing the ring. However, my encounter with Mr. Reyes was disheartening. Despite my attempts to explain the situation and willingness to pay out of pocket for a repair, he seemed disinterested and more focused on making an additional sale rather than addressing my concerns.
Mr. Reyes quickly dismissed the possibility of repairing the ring and instead proposed a solution that involved trading it in for a new one, with the condition that I would need to spend double the amount I had originally invested. No other alternatives were discussed, and he showed no empathy or interest in the circumstances of my visit.
Overall, my experience at the Tukwila branch of Shane Co was extremely disappointing due to the lack of empathy and understanding displayed by this associate. I expected better customer service having been a loyal Shane Co supporter for 10+ years. Unfortunately, this was not the case here. About 30 minutes north, I recommend visiting the Lynnwood location for a much, much...
