Let me start off by saying I know what I'm doing when it comes to building computers. And I do have an (albeit I'm not an "expert") eye for troubleshooting common problems when it comes to PC desktops.
That said, I took my custom PC to this Geek Squad (twice) when I was having trouble with a repair loop my desktop was having. They convinced me that paying the $140 membership for the year would help cut costs of repairs on any visits that year. This was half correct.
I spent $140 and hauled my desktop to this location only to have them tell me my motherboard was bad the first visit. $190 later, I have a new one delivered to me and I install it and update the Bios. Same boot loop issues. Wouldn't even let me install Windows fresh on the SSD (which was happening on the previous motherboard as well). So I take it in a second time.
They notify me two days later and wrote on the checkout paperwork that Windows had been installed, and it had not been! So the paperwork is false. Then they try to convince me it's the motherboard again. I took my PC apart back home to send the MoBo back for a refund and found that a SCREW WAS MISSING from the motherboard. To make that scenario worse, one of the screws they used was the one meant to hold the GPU in place.
These people are doing nothing but guessing, and they're bad guessers. If it can't be fixed with some software Wizard or a screwdriver, they're clueless. I found out I had a bad pin in my CPU, but I don't have the funds to do something about that now.

Read moreIt was cray..cray....our Samsung TV went down.. we have warranted and also Best Buy plan on devices ..we call to get it fixed. Of course they are so busy no one can come for a week. Then someone comes and oh it's this. Then another week or two part comes its not that. Then have to order another part to come to house again so it's been a whole month and still not fixed so I have no TV in the main area we watch in. Its that expensive Art TV. We keep saying. Aren't you just gonna have to replace it??? So another few weeks. And oh!!@ first guy was wrong. At this point were saying you've done everything but changed the screen. So about 2 months later they are finally going to replace etc. Then we figured maybe take the replacement cost and just get 2 TVs because the Art TV isnt nessessary because wiring and plug are behind the TV already we get 2 nice Samsung. And we love them....So Its been 2 months of nonsense because they're understaffed. HIRE SOME MORE PEOPLE!!!!. WHERE IS OUR YEARLY OUT FLOW GOING?!?! I SAID NEVER AGAIN. ILL JUST GO ANYWHERE WHERE THEY GET TO YOU RIGHT AWAY AND IM NOT WAITING AND WAITING. NOW OUR SAMSUNGS ARE RANDOMLY TURNING OFF.. I LOVE THEM usually... Read moreThese guys are not professional computer geeks. These guys are only good at repairing screens. If it's anything software DO NOT BRING IT TO GEEK SQUAD. Brought it in under warranty due laptop not cutting on, this is a $1600 gaming laptop. I got it back saying everything is okay. I bring it home then the same problem happens. So I bring it back for them to fix it so they shipped it out to their service center for repair. Come back and turns out it needed a new mother board. So I get it back and now the password that was set on it isn't the same one that I set it to so then I shipped it back out and got it right back saying just type the password in so I say you need to ship it back out and get it right because I tried the only password I set it to. So they just said they'll do a complete factory reset and reinstall window so they did. When I got it back I didn't get the right windows installed and all the factory drivers were all jacked up I could even run the fortnite main menu. I was getting 5fps on games. so I waited an entire month just to get a jacked up $1600 gaming computer that can't even run fortnite on the lowest setting.
