DXL Big + Tall — Local services in Virginia Beach

Listen, I’m a 305lbs, 6’1” strongman/powerlifter with much of my size in my shoulders, chest, back and quads. Slimmer midsection and waist. I used to dread shopping for formal wear. I basically got something that was either too baggy so it could fit my shoulders or too tight to fit my waist because nothing was made for my measurements! I don’t know how many pants I’ve split because again they were too tight to fit my waist but not enough room for my quads and glutes. Then I found DXL. This is a catered, tailored shop designed for all types and shapes of bigger guys. They immediately measured me, got me the right size shirts and dedicated the time to making sure the fit was just right. I’ve been getting compliments almost daily ever since. The nightmare of clothes shopping for me is over. I hate myself for throwing away hundreds if not thousands of dollars somewhere else on mediocre, poor fitting clothing. And! Always great customer service and quality clothing. Though this location is not the one I originally started shopping at, the manager is the same from my old favorite store, he and the rest of the employees here will make you feel very welcome.

The location is easily accessible from the interstate, and is also in close proximity to a lot of other wonderful shops and restaurants in the Virginia Beach Town Center area.

Keep an eye out for sales and coupons, they're frequently provided, especially if you sign up to receive emails!

I would prefer to get my clothes from DXL over any other store, hands down.

UPDATE: I wrote the update years ago, IIRC. Every point still stands, they continue to have great customer service and are extremely accommodating and helpful. Can't sing DXL's...

If you shop this store, you better have enough money in your pocket. This is an exquisite, stylish store for men - those who are larger in size. And you will pay for this amazing, high quality clothing and footwear.

I love shopping here for the big men in my family. Every item in this store is top-notch. Casual, work, professional wear, shoes - you name it. The staff is so personal and accommodating. There is also an expansive clearance area in the back where I snapped up quite a few beautiful shirts for my guys.

I can't say enough about how wonderful this high-end men's store is. It's a dream come true for the big men...
