My husband has been runner for many years. He has ran 34 marathons in his life. Weāre here visiting Winchester Virginia for his job and decided to walk downtown to find a place to eat. To our surprise we found a lovely store called runners Releaf quick to my surprise as well the man in the store had no time for us . He had an opportunity to sell not one but two pair of New balance shoes but because he had no time for us weāve decided to buy elsewhere, his loss.
Sure we were there yesterday around 3:00 - 3:30. Two people were in the store. A obvious runner probably in his mid 40s greeted us when we came to the door but after that he went back in the back. We passed by him and there was a young lady sitting in the back with a West Virginia University shirt; now she was quite lovely but seemed a little preoccupied too. I am currently training for my first marathon and was in need of a new pair of new balance and saw that you had the style I needed. And my husband always buys a fresh pair shoes that he likes to call...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI Keep saying āIām not a runnerā and yet I agreed to my sonās challenge to run the Apple Blossom 10k with him this year. Well, not with him as he is probably going to do it in under 50 minutes, but we will start around the same time? Haha Anyways, I figured that I should probably invest in some nice running shoes. The ladies who fitted me were very sweet and let me try out tons of options, even having me run down the mall to watch my form in various shoes. Unfortunately, the shoes I chose ended up not being a good fit for me. I messaged the store and the owner responded within 24 hours. He had me come back to the store, did another evaluation on me, even more extensive than the first time! At the end, even though I had run several miles in the shoes I had first taken home, he gave me full credit for those shoes and let me use that as a credit towards the new purchase. Thereās something to be said about purchasing from a small local business. I 100% recommend Runnerās Retreat!!!! Ask for Mark when...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreStaff is Terrible, went there the first time and did not have a good experience, Shame on me for going back again. I was hoping the service would be better and wanted to support a small home town business. 1st visit, the staff barley paid attention and would get distracted by everything, I spent over $350 that visit. 2nd Visit, same thing the gentleman waiting on us left us sitting while were in the middle of trying on shoes to "help" the young pretty girl that came in. He was flirting around with her, while were sitting there waiting on a shoe. Come to find out this was not ever a customer, but someone looking for a job.
They have limited inventory to begin with and are pricy. It's worth the drive to Leesburg or Fairfax if you want good service and a better selection.
It's Sad the owner of the shop needs to pay attention to what's going on in the store. Our Family spends at least 2 thousand a year on...
