Go somewhere else!
My partner and I were really looking forward to a hair spa with a head massage as we heard that Hanoi has some brilliant spa treatments. Unfortunately, I would say this was a let down. There a number of reasons I didn’t think this was a good place and I would urge you to go somewhere else:
A mouse running around reception as we sat down to wait for our treatment! price is not the same as it is advertised on Google, they need to update it (was just under twice as much, plus you have to add another 10% tax on) They clearly don’t have masseuses working there as we had to wait 15 minutes for ours to arrive by bike. It also seemed like they didn’t really know where anything was. my masseuse stopped twice because her phone was ringing, also kept walking off to grab shampoo, oil etc rather than it being ready before the treatment started. my partners masseuse didn’t know English (obviously we don’t expect her to) so instead of nicely moving her she just grabbed her by the neck and was very forceful each time. what ever they used in our hair has actually made it more dry than it originally was. very pushy for a tip at the end, and clearly weren’t happy with what I gave. If I think the service is good then I will tip well. You are not entitled to a tip.
Overall I’d say do some research as I’m sure there will be much better places out there for...
Read moreI booked the service called Hair Shampoo and Head Massage. However, there was barely any head massage at all. The staff member who worked on my hair was very unprofessional, not gentle, and only did the massage for about 5 minutes and even that wasn’t a full 5 minutes.
They charged nearly four times more than a local hair salon, yet even the small local ones provide more time for a simple massage, which they don’t even advertise as a “head massage” but just a normal hair wash. Here, they charge extra and advertise it as Hair Shampoo and Head Massage when in reality there was barely a massage included.
I don’t usually check the timing of a wash, but since I felt unsatisfied, I did and it lasted only 20 minutes. During the blow-dry, the hot air was directed onto the back of my skin and actually stung.
I’ve been to many salons for hair washes and other services, but this was by far the worst experience. The staff member wasn’t even wearing a uniform, so I couldn’t get their name. Very...
Read moreOverall, I wouldn’t recommend this place—there are better options available.
Environment: Quite bad. The restroom couldn’t be locked, and the floor was messy.
Service: There was a serious lack of privacy—staff didn’t close the door or draw the curtains when we changed our clothes. During the hair wash, my therapist kept chatting and used her nails to aggressively scrape my scalp, which was very uncomfortable, and even got water in my ear. When drying my hair, she pulled on my ears roughly. At the end, they seemed eager to rush customers out—we had to pick up our own baskets and get dressed quickly, and before we even finished changing, the next group of customers was already coming in. The whole experience was unpleasant.
Price: Not cheap, plus an additional 10% service charge. Honestly, I didn’t feel like I received much...
