Unfortunately, my experience at Shirvan Restaurant was extremely disappointing. We ordered a koobideh kebab, a gheimeh stew, and a Shirazi salad.
From the moment we entered, there was no warm welcome, despite the fact that the staff spoke our language. The smell of meat in the air immediately felt unpleasant and off-putting.
The koobideh was extremely average, lacking flavor or freshness. But the gheimeh stew was honestly terrible. It had a strong, unpleasant smell that made me feel nauseous. It clearly seemed like it had been cooked days earlier. The texture and taste suggested that the ingredients were just thrown into a pot, water added, and left to cook, with no attention to quality or taste.
To make things worse, we ordered a Shirazi salad but were charged for a another salad instead, which was more expensive. This kind of mistake, whether intentional or not, left a very bad impression.
The staff also seemed unmotivated and inattentive, showing little sense of hospitality, which made the entire experience even more disheartening.
I usually avoid writing negative reviews, especially for fellow Iranians running a business abroad, because I understand how hard it is to keep a business going these days. But in this case, I feel compelled to speak up in the hope that the owners see this feedback and take steps to improve. The restaurant may have potential, but major improvements are...
Read moreIt’s a very small restaurant with a nice cosy interior. Good thing is that we (5 of us) were the only customer during that time, so we didn’t feel congested or else it wud be very tight and disturbed. By seeing their 4.7 rating we thought food is gona be halal & amazing. Apparently, we felt lil overrated after seeing their menu. As we were starved we thought to order something like pizza which was the only reasonable one in menu. Unfortunately it wasn’t available and we have to order beef kebab and chicken rice. After placing the order I have to use the outdated and unclean washroom which has shattaf (good thing) but the water was so icy. So now comes the interesting part, before keeping the main part like plate and cutlery they kept the food just like that and left. How come a restaurant with 4.7 rating doesn’t know these basic things. And then we have to ask for the plates. The food we ordered like chicken and rice for that rate is not worth. Beef Kebab was ok. Overall we aren’t satisfied.
There were 2 guys working in this restaurant, sleepy man and bar attendant....

I’m Iranian and I rarely leave reviews but I feel obliged to do so here. Tonight I went to Shirvan with my GF based on the “authenticity” factor in the reviews. We ordered three main items:
Ghormehsabzi Koobideh Lamb shank ( mahicheh)
As you see in the picture Ghormehsabzi had absolutely no meat and it was very very bitter which only happens if the herb is burnt during frying process.
I happily ordered lamb shank with rice after the servant’s recommendation for being the best food in their menu. . The lamb shank was gross and smelled and tasted like Kalleh Pacheh. I love Kalleh Pacheh but I ordered lamb shank with rice.
Sanitation
There weee 4 flies hovering over our table enjoying our food. You can see the fly in the Ghormehsabzi bowl (the fly is sitting on the wall of the bowl). I also saw other customers complaining about flies.
Service
The servant was rude, when taking my order he had turned his back on us and interacting with us reluctantly and when I asked for a skewer of Koobideh he said that I could only order two skewers and one is...
