On a rainy Thursday afternoon , I decided to venture out to try a distillery that has been on my list for a time . The assuming facade with its casual vibe , was quiet on this weekday after lunch , with only a small family sitting as I entered . The atmosphere was cosy and comfortable, with both beaches , stools and seats , and plants stung from lighting overhead . The 80s and 90s music added to the vibe , as I was greeted at the doorway , and told to sit whenever I choose . The name of the gin itself was intriguing, when I first tasted it interstate , so wanted to try it on its home turf. This distillery highlights its gin , although it also offers a coffee liqueur, a vodka and a whiskey, as well as various interesting sounding cocktails. Both staff I spoke to were extremely enthusiastic about their gin , which also spilled over to other gins they had tried and distilleries that’s they’d visited. That made for an enjoyable conversation. I tried both the 4 gin paddle, which I had with tonic , and the charcuterie board that also doubled for lunch . All the gins were good , and one of the staff was particularly enthused about the Bunyip Sticky Gin , which was lemon based and fed Pinot Grigio grapes to the finished product to make it sticky ,”like gin and wine had a baby” ~ that’s a quote . Although I really enjoyed this tipple , I slightly favoured the Pavlova Gin , especially after a small amount of tonic was added . The soft sweetness of aftertaste this gin lingered at the back of my mouth . I really enjoyed this distillery and its atmosphere- hopefully one day when travelling interstate will turn again . It was a wonderful way to enjoy...
Read moreA recent venue to add to the local Bowen Hills area, and one that I'm very pleased about. This gin distillery does an excellent job at presenting their own products made on site and a good range of choices from further afield. Now that they have a kitchen up and running, the food choices are really good for lunch and after work/evening with some nice burgers, and other items. Reasonable space for large groups and live music brings along a good atmosphere to help the night along. Really enjoyable nights here and the prices are good value for money considering what you pay at other similar venues. Try the Pavlova gin and the Fig gin, they are to die for along with the Blood Orange and others. Great to see a local doing well. Service is great with very friendly...
Read moreMy wife and I held our post-elopement party with Nosferatu and could not have asked for anything more. Angus and the team were absolutely incredible with their service in both the planning and the event itself. They were extremely accommodating with anything we asked, taking the stress totally out of planning. On the night, we received such great feedback on how friendly and inviting the staff were to everyone, including the kids. The food was great and the cocktails were outstanding. The venue was perfect, with a great vibe and layout. Would highly recommend for any event or even just to go for drinks and a bite to eat. They were such a big part of us creating a night we'll...
