Walking in late on a Sunday night we located Siam Samrarn Thai Restaurant purely based on the the Zomato reviews. You walk in to initially to a well decorated Thai Restaurant with welcoming and pleasant staff. On the menu you are presented a vast array of dishes with different meat types and vegetarian options. The variety is ample and well separated within the menu. For our entree we tried the Chicken Satay skewers however were bitterly disappointed. They appeared a little undercooked and quite bland. The portion size is large however if you do choose to stay away from this particular dish you will definitely have a better dining experience. I had one and was unable to fully stomach it and we had to leave this dish to be collected uneaten. Though the coconut rice was absolutely delicious. That matched with Mussaman Beef Curry made a beautiful combination. The beef was cooked to absolute perfection and the curry was rich but not over-imposing and no flavour dominated to overpower the balance. That curry sauce placed on the rice alone was incredibly tasty! Our second main of choice was the Pad Siew for which we were left a little disappointed with. It was dry and the noodles were slightly bland. We did have this with vegetables which is probably not recommended and either beef or duck being a better option. The tofu was dry and a little overcooked also. The service was absolutely impeccable however and portion sizes and prices are extremely reasonable. Better than your classic local Thai restaurant but nothing here that blew you out of the water either.

Siam Samraran is a lovely restaurant in the Soda Factory, West End. The place has outdoor seating facing the car park. While the outdoor seating is nice, the flies are pesky. The food is really good and flavourful and the staff are wonderful, very polite and helpful. The hostess is very sweet and knowledgeable about the menu. They have #Gluten Free main courses however the starters are limited to 2 unfortunately. The staff are aware of Gluten Free dishes and can help you choose. The steamed Baramundi in Ginger was delicious and so was the Pad Thi. The Masamman curry was tasty but lacked the authentic taste. The # Gluten Free chicken satay and # GF Pork skewer were tasty but slightly over cooked and tough. The #GF Pad Thai was one of the better Pad Thais I've had very tasty but skimped on the prawns, there were only 4 big prawns. Probably better to go for chicken so it's evenly spread in the dish. Overall a good meal. I've been twice and will go back again. Good food and ambience and great service!

It used to be my “go to” Thai food place to go to and always went there with friends and family for a quick cheap & delicious lunch. We would all eat at a huge table either with friends and family. I would go eat lunch alone. For many years. I went back there a few days ago since forever. I stopped going g because they took away some of my favourite dishes from the lunchtime special. And the prices went up. I decided to try again the other day and even though they gave me a generous amount of food.. it was tasteless and definitely not as Smokey and yummy flavours that it used to have. I chose another noodle dish because my favourite ones were taken away. The atmosphere is very beautiful I asked for chop sticks and the waitress gave me a lazy answer to my question. Then she totally went to do something else.. I had my food getting cold so I got up and went to grab them myself. I don’t mind but it’s nice if she got them for me.

This has to be the worst thai food and service I have ever experienced. I wouldn't suggest you go as there is plenty other thai restaurants that would give you better food and service. From the beginning it wasn't pleasant as we had made a reservation and asked for a nice table inside, and the waitress whom did not greet us, she just looked up at me and grabbed menu's. So I spoke and advised of my reservation and she proceeded to walk outside pointing her arm forward for me to follow. She did not look at our name and I had to say No I am not going outside as it is too cold. She walked back in and spoke thai to another lady whom seemed to be the senior there. This lady seemed to much more polite and professional and proceeded to take us to a table in the corner and we sat and waited and waited but no service. My dinner guest waved his arm to be able to order a drink. We ordered bugs with sweet chilli, veges with ginger/shallot and steamed rice. The smallest bowl of veges ever I have seen that was cut into tiny pieces was served, then 10 mins later the rice came out and then 6 mins later the bugs. The rice was thick and gluggy and not even coming off the spoon. I asked for fresh rice only to be told by the senior lady that this is how they serve their rice thai style there. The kitchen has rolled the bugs in flour and deep fried it :( which made it completely dry and ruining any possibility of a nice flavour. Not worth at all the money we forced ourselves to pay. Sitting talking at our table quietly with all our empty plates infront of us for a long long time we couldn't hear ourselves talk as the table next to us left and the senior lady was clearing it whilst talking very loud to the Uber eats delivery river at the front of the restaurant. My friend was so annoyed that we knew it was time to go as they had made out evening a...

My Go-to Thai restaurant whenever I crave a Pork Larb Salad for it's amazing sour & spicy taste. My favourite flavour combo. I've been going here since 2016 as shown by an Old Friend. For the most part it is very good thai food that is quite authentic. The food is catered towards the local community as a spice lover and thai food veteran it doesn't have the Thai spice kick or level of heat that I seek. Maybe I should ask it to be Thai-Level spicy on my next visit. Service is good and you can sense the natural friendliness of the Thai staff which adds to the experience. Never been sick or had food poisoning from this restaurant as everything is cooked fresh. Great Thai Milk-tea as well!! Very Generous portions especially the green curries!!

Parking is easy to get, however I don't drive my car here anymore because it being in the city, it's cramped and this car park (which isn't the restaurant's fault) is very narrow so if you own a motorcycle like me, or just a general push-bike. I'd recommend riding that to avoid any issues with parking full stop. Be sure to get the store to validate your ticket to save a tonne on parking.

Keep it up Siam Samram, you've got a...
