We came here tonight on a Saturday, made a booking 30 mins before and had no wait time. All of the waiters and waitresses are fast, attentive and friendly! One waitress in particular, Giusi is so friendly, We are more than happy to have her every time as she really creates such a friendly atmopshere. The food has been amazing every time. Tonight in particular we ordered the mango sunrise and lemonda for drinks, which were super quick and tasted great, with brushcetta as an entrée followed by the napoli and spaghetti and they were both delicious as ever. It was my partner and I’s anniversary tonight and Guisi was kind enough to offer us a dessert on the house! Food came out super quick and the presentation was beautiful. im happy to admit that tonight was not my first time at the Spaghetti House. Tonight was my fifth time and I have to say that it has been perfect every time. The motto of the resteraunt is, “come as friends, leave as family” and it really does not dissapoint. Overall I highly recommend Spaghetti House, they don’t disappoint! :)

👀✨ventured along Southbank once again for dinner… the whole strip of Grey St is so loaded with so many different cuisines🤤🔥🤩this night i was feeling like Italian cuisine so we checked out @the_spaghettihouse !!🍝♥️ we got their✨🍽️: 🍝spaghetti gamberi 🍕prosciutto crudo e rucola 🦑calamari fritti 🍹cherry spritz & mango sunrise their menu is huge and packed with so many pasta and pizza choices, so we sure had a difficult time choosing which one to order!🤤🤩we decided upon their spaghetti gamberi which was hearty and packed with prawns, it was such a big portion too🦐🍝 i love me a prosciutto pizza so it was a obvious pizza choice for me! the crust and base of the pizza was crispy and yum🔥🍕they also have a massive drinks menu with so many options! we got two of their mocktails which were refreshing and perfect to cut through the heaviness of the feast we had🥰💖 make sure to check out @the_spaghettihouse for a Italian feast and a lovely stroll through Southbank afterwards, perfect for a date night or group dinner🫶🏻

It is not often that I leave a poor review, but in this circumstance, I must share our experience. Our booking was for 7:00 pm, 4 adults, 1 child. *** minimum $50/head on Friday and Saturday It's in the T&C's of booking Our dining experience started with our extremely arrogant, condescending waitress We ordered the Bruschetta, Garlic Bread and Calamari for entrees. The Bruschetta was served on old, uncooked, cold bread The calamari (inclusive of baby octopus) was undercooked and, for the edible part, bland. The garlic bread was the best part of the ENTIRE dining "experience". We waited an hour to be served our mains. 2 spaghetti, 1 pizza, 1 scallopini, 1 chicken parmi, 1 x kids schnitzel. The spaghetti resembled the home brand version of tinned Heinz spaghetti. It was nothing more than pasty, sloppy mush (photo attached) - inedible The chicken parmi was burnt entirely on the bottom and sides, also inedible. (picture attached) The kids' menu schnitzel was so overcooked that it was dry, and the crumbs had pulled away from the cardboard chicken. She ate most of the fires that accompanied the meal as she was starving – inedible (picture attached) By this time it is 8:30pm The scallopini was served last and was cold – ate ¼ of the meal The pizza arrived with the scallopini. It had pools of liquid (felt like water, was definitely not oil or fat) on it, presumably from the half a dozen frozen prawns on top – also inedible (picture attached) The "cardboard personality" the waitress asked how our meals were; besides the fact, the entire table of food was nearly untouched. We informed her of the situation. Her only solution was to return the scallopini to be re-heated; the thought of a $35 meal being zapped in the microwave was not appealing after we had all finished "eating". As for the other meals, she said she would get back to us, cleared 70% of the table. We waited 10 minutes. She did not return, so we left the table to pay. When it came time to pay, we were advised by the "manager" (by assumption) that the chicken parmi had been removed from the bill and a discount applied. She was shown images of the meals and acknowledged that the parmi was burnt but said the rest appeared fine. She couldn't care less about the issues raised and was quite abrupt and defensive about the honesty given about their service and food. Considering we collectively ate 1/5th of our meals combined, the amount we still paid was ridiculous. If wish I would give it zero stars, I would, because that is what the entire experience deserved. KFC or Hungry Jacks in the car park would have been far better.

Update (14 Jan 24): As per below, Simon Raynor had invited me to engage with him further in relation to my dining experience on 23 Dec 23. I had forwarded an email to him the very same day; however, I have not since heard back from him which again is disappointing. I understand that it is a busy time of year but if an invitation to further discuss the matter is made and a response immediately forwarded for that sole purpose, surely a three week timeframe is sufficient to expect a reply - otherwise it would seem that Simon's response to my experience, and possibly his similar responses to other negative reviews here, may simply seem as paying obligatory 'lip service'. So Simon, could you please respond to my email dated 23 Dec 23? ------------------------------------- o0o ------------------------------------- I arrived with my family and for my meal, I ordered the spaghetti marinara. I had noted on the menu that the meal was $39 so I was expecting a meal befitting of that price particularly regarding it’s freshness, flavour and portion size. Unfortunately however, the meal was very disappointing indeed. The portion size was quite small and there was a minimal amount of seafood in the meal. The meal also tasted quite bland apart from a hint of occasional chilli. Most disappointingly, I noted that the calamari in the entree and the main did not taste like actual calamari but rather the ‘formed/manufactured’ version. Real calamari has a slightly resistant and chewy texture of which the calamari that was served had none. Having caught and cooked many a squid in my day, I know what they should taste like and feel like on the palette. To further support this, I was informed by the manager when I queried about it, that the calamari is delivered frozen and pre-processed in a box and hence, there is next to no way of confirming that the calamari is actually the ‘real deal’ - apart from the staff admittance that it’s not actually ‘fresh’ produce. The only redeeming factor was that the spaghetti itself was cooked to absolute perfection - a slightly chewy texture. Other than that, the meal was very disappointing and a common conception amongst my three other family members present and certainly not worth the $240 bill. I look forward to chatting with you further about my experience Simon

Put simply don't come here. There are other places that offer far better service and can actually serve you in a reasonable timeframe and get the order right. I took my parnter here, we were walk-ins so we did the check in with the QR code and ended up waiting. That would have been fine if it wasn't 15 minutes and being almost shown to a seat for it not to be cleaned and standing in another part of the establishment for another 5 while being juggled between misinformation by two wait staff. Finally got seated and decided to order the drinks (which is the only thing that went right) and the food. I ordered the lasagna with rocket salad and my parnter ordered a Gnocchi gorgonzola. What a hopeful order that was. We ordered at 8.20 and never saw the food. Where we were sat we watched as food came back and one of the waitress spent her time flirting with the chef at the front. She also ended up eating rejected food that came back as we sat there. We also watched as confusion unraveled as the wait staff messed up one order and had this massive panic in full view of us and the rest of the establishment. The second "mishap" was a table being given a second round of the same mains instead of their order of desert. I cancelled the order at 9.10 we were done, and watching the staff panic. The excuse they provided us is "we had two orders come through that were the same". Right... They insisted on providing us the meals and drinks free of charge. Which would have been a lovely gesture but the lasagna was raw, missing its salad and awful. The Gnocchi gorgonzola wasn't even that, some risotto thing which, well look at it. They insisted this was 2 minutes away which was more like 5. We ended up walking out at 9.25 to a round of "sorry" from the manger and chef hoping we'd enjoy the food that was given. We took as look at it as as by the photos, didn't even eat it. I would not recommend this place to anyone even as a joke or to my worst enemy. The lack of communication between them all is sad and the staff don't care. If I could give it zero stars I would, because that what the spaghetti chaos sh#t house deserved.

We went here as the ratings were good and they had # Gluten Free options. We had a reservation so the seating was quick and service too was fast. We didn't have to wait long for the food to come out. Once it came out though no one came to check if we needed anything. I had ordered the Pappardelle El Ragu di Agnello # Gluten Free which was lacking Seasoning and came out Luke warm not piping hot. The shavings of parmesan were very little and the quality of the Parmesan was not great, it lacked in flavour. After adding some salt and pepper the dish was quite tasty though. The lamb was perfectly cooked. My cousin's husband ordered Fettuccini ai fungi which he says was quite bad. He couldn't eat more than a few bites. It wasn't as creamy an saucy as it should have been and the cream wasn't thinned down/cooked and seemed like it was added later. It also lacked Seasoning and parmesan which we has to request for separately. The other dish my brother in law ordered was the Sphagetti Aglio Olio. This had no chilly flakes and was quite dry. It had a Chilli oil infusion but no actual flakes and looked really bland. We had to ask for extra Chilli oil. The other 2 cousins though had a good meal of the sphagetti Gamberi and a pizza which they enjoyed. Going by the ratings either the chef had a bad day, the ratings are paid or we just had really bad luck but for the price of about $30 per plate, I definitely expected better.
