Visit here with group of fds, it’s the amazing place for gathering! The food is delightful and incredible with the atmosphere. Everything just perfect 🤌🏼

Oysters 🦪($34) These fresh oysters are delicately briny and topped with the sauce.

Crispy eggplant 🍆 ($17) Golden and crisp on the outside, the fried eggplant slices are rich, soft, and buttery inside.

Garlic chive cake 🧄 ($14) Crispy on the outside and chewy inside, these garlic chive cakes are pan-fried to perfection.

E-san Beef Tatare 🥩 ($21) A bold and aromatic dish featuring marinated beef tossed with red onions, mint, chili. This one is so spicy but can’t stop to eat!

Grilled waygu beef 🥩($36) Perfectly grilled and seasoned, the steak is served medium

Duck curry 🍛 ($33) A creamy, rich curry filled with roast duck, lychee, and pineapple. (A bit too sweet for me)

Squid egg york 🦑 ($32) Tender squid rings coated in a rich, velvety salted egg yolk sauce.

Tom Yum hotpot 🍲 ($39) This tom yum hotpot is an explosion of Thai flavors — tangy, spicy, and aromatic. Loaded with prawns, squid and mushrooms.

3 flavours crispy whole fish 🐟 ($49) Crispy on the outside, juicy inside, this whole fish is smothered in a sweet and spicy Thai sauce, garnished with fresh herbs and onion. Balanced with pineapple, lychee and tomato!

Phuket fried rice 🍚($44) Fragrant fried rice tossed with egg, prawns, and scallops, garnished with cucumber slices and herbs.

Tiramisu lava ☕️🍫($14) This tiramisu comes with rich mascarpone cream, espresso-soaked sponge, and a dusting of cocoa powder.

Thai tea bingsu 🍧($15) A mountain of fluffy Thai milk tea-flavored shaved ice. Served with condensed milk and black pearls on the side, it’s refreshing, aromatic, and perfect for sharing.

French toast 🍞($15) This thick-cut honey toast is crispy on the outside and soft inside, topped with creamy ice cream and lightly torched banana slices. This is the highlight of the night!!!

Indulge in delicious modern Thai cuisine @velabrisbane @westvillage. You will find VELA nestled in the historic Factory 2 building, right below Salon Lane. The restaurant has a welcoming vibe with distinct dining spaces with the ‘moon’ as the centre piece. Service was welcoming.

I was here during lunch, there is their main menu and a lunch menu. I ordered two dishes from their main menu, both the pad see ew and beef fat fried rice were packed with plenty of flavours (delicious 🤤) - definitely a dish to be shared as it does get quite ‘heavy’ on the palate if you have it all by yourself 😅 The lunch set is always a good one to order if you can’t decide on a particular dish as you get to pick three side dishes to accompany with a bowl of rice for $29 🤩

We had the great time at Vela Restaurant and I would highly recommend it. Our group of nine went in not really knowing what to expect, and we left already talking about what we want to order next time. The food was outstanding – every single dish that came to the table was beautifully presented and packed with flavour. My partner and I tried a few entrees/starters and the duck curry for our main, but there were so many things on the menu that caught my eye that I’m already planning a return visit.

The staff were friendly without being over the top, and handled a large group well.

The vibe of the restaurant itself was also spot on. Relaxed but still special, with a great atmosphere that worked well for a big group like ours. Everyone at the table commented on how much they enjoyed it, and it definitely made for a fun night out.

It is a shame that Vela will only allow a single bill. It's a shame they can't accommodate split bills for groups when other restaurants in the area handle split bills with ease.

We were overcharged and noticed on the reciept the next day. I contacted Vela and had the difference refunded in my account the same day - top tier customer resolution.
