We used to love this place a couple of years ago because of its unique taste. But that’s no longer the case. The wait time was insane, almost 45 minutes for a bland and old Pho bowl noodle soup. There was barely any meat in the soup, and the noodles were way overcooked. They were broken noodles, to be exact. The mini ox bone in the bowl was so old because of the dark yellow colour of the fat on the meat that I couldn’t believe it was fresh. And for the price they charge, you could go somewhere that feeds you better. The chicken rice was a bit better, but the rice was so dry and half-cooked. Our family was hungry when we went in, and there were only two customers inside the shop, one of whom was waiting for their food outside. They prepared the takeaway food along with the noodles soup for the couple inside first and then the online orders, leaving us hanging. We were frustrated, and our children kept complaining that they were so hungry. They even made Vietnamese coffee taste disgusting. We hate this place and the customer service. They’re so indifferent and amateur. When you watch the lady cook, you’ll realise that she had one gloved hand on for some reason and still used the other hand to pick things up instead of the gloved hand. We’ll never be going back. Should have taken the picture though, but we were starving and the children started...
Read moreThat was the worst service ever! The first time we tried food was great and service was excellent. However, on our return we ordered the same dishes - Pho and Broken Rice. We waited patiently for at least 20mins for the meals. When they finally arrived, the Broken Rice came without the Steamed Egg Patty (for us the Egg Patty was the major point of the dish). Feeling disappointed, we decided to ask the staff and she answered ‘we don’t have the Egg Patty today. It depends on season’ and walked away unapologetic. Well, she could have at least told us when we ordered and not when the food arrived. And Egg on season, seriously? That was a smart bluff. My partner then proceeded to the counter to ask for chilli and lemon for the Pho. The female staff looked annoyed upon his request, and even more annoyed (as if we had been asking too much) when she came over with the chilies. My partner went up to the counter to pay, again, her face looked so annoyed and not even a Thank You was said. My partner was so angry that he asked us to leave straight away (he is the type of person who doesn’t get annoyed easily). So, that was really an...
Read moreI eat at many restaurants around Hobart. This place may not seem it by first appearance, but its food stands out among its local counterparts, hence my five out of five rating. This restaurant is comfortable, clean, light, warm, and welcoming. It has a 'light' atmosphere. My favourite aspect of this place is the genuine quality of food. The menu is far less congested than most, which I love. Each dish is a genuine healthy option, and unlike many Asian restaurants I have eaten at, each dish is distinctly different. I spoke with the Vietnamese co-owner "Tiffany" (husband and wife team), about their business, and I was enthralled to learn about the passion and determination they have towards providing real, healthy food. (The prices are quite reasonable also. I would happily pay more for the food I was served.) I had the "Beef Noodle Soup" (Pho Tai) with added vegetables, garlic, and fresh chili on the side, and "Prawns and Pork Rice Paper Rolls with Bean Sauce". Both dishes were superb and made fresh (even the Bean Sauce was...
