This experience was chaotic. I wish I could write a nice review because the staff were lovely but it was just mistake after mistake.
We sat down and we could overhear complaints on other tables. This should have been a warning!
Coffees came out at a reasonably slow pace but the food was really the main gripe with our experience.
For reference we ordered 2 smashed avocados on toast, 1 smoked salmon scrambled eggs and a bacon and egg roll.
Absolutely no issues with the bacon and egg roll, this came out quickly and hot.
We then had two different breakfasts dropped off that weren’t what we ordered, none of the staff knew what we had actually ordered. Our food then came quickly but was cold. At this point it was about 40 minutes after we ordered. The two smashed avocados (not a particularly a difficult one to do as the only hot thing should be the poached eggs). I do think they chucked in some additional hash browns as they were on the incorrect breakfast they tried to drop off, but they were also stone cold.
The staff were lovely and apologetic but unfortunately it overall was not a pleasant...
Read moreI hate being this person. I always look for the good things. I understand things happen, bad days happen. But a group of 6 of us went to Green Zebra for breaky and unfortunately it was one thing after another. I ordered for my partner and myself (eggs benny and eggs on toast with extras). The customer service i received from the young girl who took my order was disappointing and everything was an effort (gf and extras). We waited just shy of an hour for our food and drinks, when we all had some form of egg dish. When it arrived, both my partner and my own dishes were completely mixed up and extras everywhere. I then needed to ask for some which were missed. It saddens me to write this, but unfortunately today...
Read moreWhat happened to the old Green Zedbra I knew? This place used to be the bee's knees for amazing quality breakfast. I hadn't been there for a few years and thought whilst in town try it out again. Maybe it was a bad day or a fill in chef but my bacon was thin and overcooked/chewy and my breakfast sausage tasted like it had been frozen too long then quickly microwaved to thaw then cooked. I also didn't get butter on my toast which was kind of odd I thought. Apparently looking around at other plates that's the norm. The poached eggs btw...
