Guzman y Gomez - Northbridge — Restaurant in Northbridge

My recent visit to GYG was incredibly disappointing. After placing our order online, we waited a staggering 45 minutes for our food. The staff was incredibly rude and dismissive, despite our attempts to show them our order number and that online it said it was ready to pick up multiple times. It was frustrating to see people who ordered after us receiving their food and having their numbers called out before us and it was also extremely frustrating that we were continuously ignored.

To make matters worse, when we finally received our food, it was cold and clearly left sitting behind the counter, as we saw the lady grab our order straight away which had been blatantly sitting there the whole 45 minutes. We had to resort to microwaving it at home just to get it to a lukewarm temperature. The level of unprofessionalism displayed by the staff was unacceptable, and it's clear that they need to improve their customer service and food handling practices. Male staff member was also incredibly rude to female customers wanting to use the restroom and yelling at them to get out. The worst customer service experience that I have ever endured and staff was not apologetic. I will not be returning to GYG Northbridge and would not recommend...

I got to Guzman Y Gomez at about 10:30 yesterday night by myself. Ordered a mini pork Nachos. Had about 3 or 4 nachos, got up and asked for water (I had left my nachos on the table). Just after getting it, I turned around and watched as one of the workers had actually cleaned it up. I told the manager/workers this and they told me I was spilling my drink which was filled to the rim (probably thought I was drunk due to it being late on a Saturday night) and told me to take a seat. I was quite upset at this seeing I felt a) disrespected and mistaken as a drunk person when I had not had ANY alcoholic beverages that night and b) I had just bought food and it had been thrown away. I sat back down to do what the workers had said, and after a while I was still hungry, went up to the counter and explained the situation to another staff member and tried to order more nachos in which, he put the a full priced full nachos down and told me he couldn’t do anything about the situation and that I would have to pay. i literally only had a pop tart, hotdog, and icecream on this day so i dropped by here to proper fill up and my first gyg experience. got mini chicken burrito for like $10.50, it took about 10 minutes to arrive.

better than zambrero in that no drippy ahh sauce chicken has chicken texture the temperature/contact heat isn’t painful and i could eat it almost instantly which i don’t get to do often. my friend prefers them “painfully hot” though which i guess isn’t here

i’m not sure if it beats zambrero yet but the flavor is very good black beans and cheese also good

i still prefer zambrero for their faster (live) service greater assortment of sauces and salsa

but this is the first time i’ve been here so i’ll have to go a few more times to form a more solid opinion. just maybe not here-here because bruhhh people were blowin their smoke in front of the open door establishment WHEN THERE ARE 80 OTHERS WITH CLOSED DOORS ON EITHER SIDE OF IT it’s fine i’ll just takeout next...
